I’m playing in 4K on pc. I have 2080 ti gpu. Can I use a 5k monitor with this gpu to play in 5k?
I bought this monitor from apple canada. After one month screen started flickering and shaking. It is a very unstable expensive piece. I have to admit it is the best monitor in terms of colour , contrast, brightness. But the chance you get a faulty one is 90%. LG customer service is the worst I have ever dealt with. It took me hours and hours on the phone with them and 3 months to get them to take back the monitor to fix it. I feel very sad I spent all this money on this monitor.

One of the reasons people consider large monitors is more screen space. It would have been nice to show a test with two browser windows open side-by-side, to see how much content can be displayed in each window.

um, nobody mentions that this doesn’t run @ 5k because if you run it natively everything is too small to be useable.
This is the conclusion I am coming to. I like the portability of a 14″ HP lightweight laptop. Also like screen real estate of old Sony Vaio 16.4″ with weight of a brick. So moving forward — laptop with External 4k or 5k display 👍
HI there, I just set my LG MD5KL monitor up. Photos look great on my monitor, then I worked on a new photo in LR on the Monitor…when I saved it and viewed the photo on my Mac it looks NOTHING LIKE the photo did on my monitor while in LR. So I am confused as to which color version is accurate. Is there a way to calibrate the Monitor to the Mac? Thanks!
Can someone who experienced using a monitor like that tell me if a 13 inch Macbook pro 2017 gets too hot when connecting to this type of monitor? I currently have an LG monitor connected via HDMI with Apple Adapter, but it gets uncomfortably hot while in normal use!

LG makes another 27″ 4k display with a less flexible stand and only an HMDI and 2 video ports for significantly less money. But would the visual display, connected to a MacBook or ipad, be just as good as on this monitor?

almost 6 years later and the LG screen is still something worth looking at. Mac displays like any Apple product hold their value pretty well. So will your videos MKBHD. Well played.
