The Verge, take note, these are the types of videos we love!
great video, but didn’t wired do this earlier in the year.
Innovation and technology might be what define Shenzhen since the beginning. Good place to go, one of the most vibrant cities in China.
silicon valley of China
Singapore next?
What will happen to the global industry if Shenzhen is hit by an earthquake or other catastrophic event? :-/
Not too long ago Akihabara in Tokyo was the same, now it’s declining and just full of anime and manga nerds.
How does The Verge always comes up with such awesome content? I always love it! 🙂
Trump will bring back jobs then these Chinese will suffer.
Absolutely perfect video!
Excellent video.…
Shenzhen is the place where most Chinese tech companies are founded. Huawei, Oneplus, Dji, Tencent, Xiaomi and many other companies that consumer might not know of.
And I think like some else says in comment , Wired did a better job introducing this city in “Silicon Valley of hardware”.
didn’t Weird or Vox already do a video on that market ?
very interesting and well produced as well 🙂 thx
daaaamn, the intro shot alone is worth re-watching
I’d spend hours in this, tbh.
Truly amazing how far is has come given how it used to be the go to place to get fake electronics.
Yet you can’t go on Facebook.…without a VPN
paradise
Shenzen, innovation, future.….….….….….but still copying iPhone. Of course, you think they stupid? Thats big money!!!
If you guys liked this, you definitely should check Wired’s full documentary about this amazing city. Just search “Shenzen: The Silicon Valley of Hardware”
Peru’s equivalent of this is Compu Palace.
My gad! Our supermarket got attention from the Verge! It’s also famous for faked iPhone and smuggling.
This is how we grow, we copy then we create and china did the exact same, now it’s become the world’s center of innovation
shenzhen is more like a heaven of consumer electronics, it is the massive supply chain not products makes the city unique.
Awesome drone footage
What about Akihabara?
Wow. now China build tomorrow indiabulid & sell to all over the world
Very nice video in content and editing! I wish I could go there again, maybe someday…
Thought Shenzhen used to be a fishing village :/ like a long time ago
J’ai commandé le 17 mai 2020, 3 world watch black, qui ont été payées le même jour par carte et à ce jour (29 juin 2020), je n’ai pas reçu ma commande. De qui se moque-t-on ?
