Several hours after arriving at the International Space Station on Dec. 13, the Japanese Aerospace Exploration Agency’s unpiloted H‑II Transfer Vehicle (HTV‑6) was bolted into place on the Earth-facing port of the station’s Harmony module. Dubbed “Kounotori”, the Japanese word for “white stork”, the spacecraft is loaded with more than four tons of supplies and experiments for the space station crew.
