Aboard the Inter­na­tion­al Space Sta­tion, Expe­di­tion 50 Com­man­der Shane Kim­brough and Flight Engi­neer Peg­gy Whit­son dis­cussed life and research on the com­plex and upcom­ing space­walks as they answered ques­tions posed by social media fol­low­ers in an in-flight event March 21. Kim­brough, Whit­son and Flight Engi­neer Thomas Pes­quet of the Euro­pean Space Agency will embark on a trio of space­walks in late March and ear­ly April to pre­pare the sta­tion for the instal­la­tion of a sec­ond dock­ing adapter for the arrival of com­mer­cial crew vehi­cles in the future and to con­duct oth­er sta­tion maintenance.
