Hi
Nice video.
If the switch GPIO pins are shorted, will it work like amazon echo (that is in always listening mode) ?
Is there a way to connect this to your phone so it can play your music?
a rajjshhberry pi
Since the Raspberry Pi 3 has an integrated bluetooth chip, would this work with a bluetooth speaker and mic setup? Perhaps change the configuration code shown at 4:45?
Also, will this update regularly as does the Google Home? Or will we need to go through all these updates every time?
I want to make an Android app for my coaching in which I can do following things::–
1. I can update class timing
2. I can make attendance which student’s parents can see .
3. Post some notes.(not needed if hard to do.)
4.login system by which each parents and student can see all things.
5. send SMS by app if student is absent.
Please help.
This guy has easily become the best part of android authority. They need to make a child channel to just deal with all the non android tech stuff.
Hey, does GA for raspberry pie offer the same services as Google Home or an android phone GA? For instance can you control chromecast devices, just like on Google Home? (On a phone you can’t)
ur ugly
i have a simple question what can i do about this error?
Could not find a version that satisfies the requirement google asasistand libary from versions
No matching distribution found for google assistant libary
What if we don’t want to use the default speaker jack and use a USB adapter instead? Changing VOICEHAT_ID = ‘googlevoicehat’ to VOICEHAT_ID = ‘bcm2835’ does not work, even if you specify the hardware correctly in the asound.conf. How do we identify the correct name for the USB dongle?
Hi Gary can you do a video on how to convert this project to a custom wake word? I know some videos are out there but they are hard to follow where your videos and articles are spot on. I know this is an older project, but it would very useful when building an android. And the updated files for google assistant don’t work with the older setups.
Thanks Oldfarmhand
Is it necessary to install Voice Kit microSD card image on the raspberry ?can’t we just install raspbian (suppose debian 8 ‚jessie) and install some kind of python api for this google assistant to work?
Please Help I am stuck…
I gone through step by step as you mentioned in video however I got error message when I run main.py or any other files (I AM USING USB MIC)
Error:
arecord: main:788: audio open error: device or resource busy
How to make this project without using Google speech api????
Wait, you have to use a button? What about voice activation?
why are there so many ideas in which you have to burn an entire sd card image? doesn’t that mean you cannot use an already in use card? can you do this with other existing code / processes already in use on an existing sd card?
Hey. It’s awesome. I made it according to your instructions, and it worked all well. Can u make the same for GOOGLE AIY VISION KIT.

How do you use a pi zero?
Thanks, it actually comes quite handy — I am not too much into buying prebuilt kits, but was also a bit daunted by the expected hassle, this video narrowed it down a bit for me.
I do not get my mic to work. Every time I do the sound check, the test program crashes when the recording starts. I tested 3 microphones and none of them works. Alsa has no problem with the microphones
Now I own Jarvis
As I now home automation
What a cool video! I had no idea.

Business Opportunity in Ruvol
I have invented a Board Game [still unpublished and not yet out in the market] that I believe is guaranteed to be as challenging and exciting as CHESS. I called it “RUVOL.”
It is my hope that one day Ruvol may surpass chess as the “Number One Board Game in the World.”
The weakness of chess is it always starts in fixed positions that the opening moves become “memorizable.” In fact, not a few have so mastered the moves that they can play against their opponents “blindfolded.” It is for this very reason that the great Bobby Fischer introduced his so-called “Fischer Random Chess,” where the starting position of the pieces is “randomized” to make the memorization of openings impracticable. Fortunately, it is also for this reason that I invented Ruvol where “every game” has been calculated to be a challenging one to play.
HOW IS RUVOL PLAYED and HOW YOU CAN MONETIZE IT?
I detailed everything in my YouTube video. Here is the link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jcqth0m3-R0
BIG MONEY POTENTIAL IN RUVOL!
It is worthwhile to note that the people who play chess will be the same people who will play Ruvol. In my Google search, I learned there are around 800 million chess players in the world. Even just a small percentage of these 800 million is good enough to earn big money from Ruvol either as an ONLINE GAME BUSINESS or as a PHYSICAL PRODUCT DISTRIBUTOR.

Thanks and God bless!

I had the same difficulty securing a copy of “The Rosie Project.” When I finally got it, it was as disappointing as this el cheapo project. Why is Putin so successful? Because, while Americans still believe in the herd instinct, it was a Russian author (Turgenev) who made a character say: “I agree with no man’s opinions. I have some of my own.”
