HTC’s flagship U11 hits all basic: gorgeous design, nice display, good camera, and fast performance, but its headline feature is more of a gimmick than anything else. Subscribe:

i find that crossing the street while looking at the phone very funny!😂😂😂
woke up my phone. twice!
There really seems to be a concerted effort to under sale this phone…He said that the HTC is probably the fastest phone out there next to Pixel. He says that the camera is really good. . Only thing new about S8 is screen. And that is enough to make it a better phone? Being able to squeeze the phone to launch certain apps is not only intuitive but a welcome change. Anything that can lessen the constant touching of the screen should not be considered a gimmick. .…but a Game Changer. The strange thing is I know many people who don’t see that as a gimmick but see Samsung’s screen as nothing more then a new coat of paint with the same buggy engine.
It is a percect smartphone but for me a bit to big, like smaller phones
I was a fan of HTC and I own an M8. To be honest, I truly believe that the U11 still has its usual advantage, a great software optimisation plus a smooth android experience compared to the S8s and the G6, or even most of the android phones out there. However in terms of design of the phone, it’s not as good as the software…Not because of the use of glass material which really really makes it look stunning, but what I’m talking about is the exterior design. I think HTC is capable of making a slightly better looking phone, a slightly more attractive and peculiar designed phone, but why they still using a similar “Poor use of space” design as the U Ultra on its true flagship device…
htc back ♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡
just get the s8 of you’re going android, it’s pretty simple
“a traditional smartphone”? you’ve gotta be kidding me. how can you define “traditional/advanced” in terms of smartphone? S8’s “infinity screen” is what you call advanced, or iPhone’s nothing-really-new innovation is advanced? remember that iPhone has always been the brand that chased behind android since Job’s death.
I enjoy your reviews, right to the point and meat of things. My only complaint is, still a phone, rarely you guys mention call quality. Can you hear callers? can they hear you? is it muffled, did you drop calls? Anyway, good job.
Self-owned. Cellphoned
seeing as how alot of people only buy phones through carriers, I feel like the U11 sales will be hurt by this. It’s an excellent phone, but it needs more carrier partners.
the 4 microphone thing is a VERY unique feature and they are the reason why the google assistant launched at the end of the video
i might get this phone, i do think its probably the fastest phone with the sony xzp in the market right now. the bezels are not that big i mean its 74.5% screen to ratio which compare to iphone plus which is 65% screen to body ratiowith same screen size is not bad at all and i know is not as good as the s8 84% but everything else on this phone is better than the s8.
Literally the only issue with this review… Aux cord? I used to game in only 720p last year and I still had bluetooth in my car.
Go on give it a good squeeze!
No, you will know about the squeeze feature on this phone because HTC.
You make it sound like you HAVE TO squeeze the sides … if you don’t like the feature or you think it’s gimmicky, don’t use it =)
thanks
Q… Without a phono headphone / aux out socket, how does one connect to a hi-fi amp using the phones DAC? I guess we don’t.
If you want some gaming phone, I suggest this.
The verge should change its name to the simp
