Chicago elevated the surface of ground level to build sewage system. Because of lake and water level they couldn’t go down. Elevate the city to put all utilities beneath the new ground level. Maybe they should have made maps.
Chicago has the highest murder rate in the US. So spend money on infrastructure.
went to Chicago last year for vacation… terrible traffic there, most people dont follow the rules. and absolutely disgusting homeless problem… people sitting on the sidewalks begging in the middle of all these beautiful skyscrapers.

Both my grandparents lived in the city in the 60’s 70’s and early 80’s. One lived on 37th and the other lived in norridge. My aunt lived in the city from 2003–2012 by the corn on the cob buildings. I live in the suburbs in mchenry county and I love hearing about updates and renovations to the city!
