Aboard the Inter­na­tion­al Space Sta­tion, Expe­di­tion 52 Flight Engi­neers Peg­gy Whit­son, Jack Fis­ch­er and Randy Bres­nik of NASA dis­cussed the lat­est “UNITY” space suit that arrived on the orbital lab­o­ra­to­ry aboard the SpaceX/Dragon car­go craft Aug. 16 dur­ing an in-flight con­ver­sa­tion with for­mer astro­naut Nicole Stott at Mis­sion Con­trol in Hous­ton Aug. 23. In Sept. 2016, an his­toric 14-day glob­al art endeav­or was mount­ed by Stott and the Space Suit Art Project team. As a result, the “UNITY” Space Suit was con­struct­ed from paint­ings by pedi­atric can­cer patients and astro­nauts and cos­mo­nauts from the five inter­na­tion­al space agen­cies that built the station.
