The new LF-S50G Wireless Speaker reminds us of the HomePod, but has Google Assistant built-in, not Siri.

Might as well have gone full shameless & called it SonyPod while they were at it.
Or
CribPod
HousePod
DwellingPod
DomicilePod
ResidencePod
ApartmentPod
HabitationPod
HomesteadPod
Apple boys just have a look at Sony BSP10 and SRS BTV25 and stop bitching. You are Pathetic.
I guess flat out copying is allowed by federal judges now in the USA? All that money Apple pays for lawsuits and this is the environment federal judges have manufactured by their decisions in court like with Samsung. This is intellectual property that Apple spends millions on developing. It’s a lot easier to let Apple spend the money and then just copy the design. I hope Apple sues the pants off of Sony… and Sony is one of my favorite companies. I bet this was Sony USA who engineered this forgery.
When is the full review coming for this?
Looks like a Chinese clone of the HomePod
This is the kind of copying one expects from Samsung lol
WTF Sony…
Waiting for the price to drop more cuz I’m cheap like that
Can you make calls?
Whaat? It’s NOT wireless?? This speaker will fail since it has to be plugged-in!
Oh come on guy’s, they didn’t copy this from Apple, Apple’s design is way better. The clock in the front is badass though 😛
Inspired by Apple design
Sony is so sad, directly copying Apple design… Looks cheap and nasty…
Now that the Homepod is out I don’t think this looks as much like a Homepod as it does a blown up version of Sony’s own XB10 Bluetooth speaker. Besides, this probably had to have been in development before the Homepod was revealed/leaked.
Poor mans HomePod. HomePod probably the best £300 spent.
The time display is too small and too hard to read in the middle of the night if your vision sux
Hi, it can connect together with Sony xb41? Or can work only alone?
No inbuilt battery? No thanks.
How is it a “wireless” speaker when it has to be connected to an outlet
Sony released this before Apple and yet receives a title “Sony’s voice-enabled wireless speaker looks like Apple’s HomePod, costs less”. Hypocrites.
