Apple slows iOS for older iPhones in order to force old iPhone users to buy the new ones 😁
Backup your pictures and anything that can be lose. Factory reset after update to iOS 11, and download all the app you need then restart the phone while charge.
So basically disable everything lol
I’m not updating
I have a iPhone 6 is it worth upgrading I have 64gb storage ain’t a issue for me
I agree, delete the useless allo app!
Thow for Apple iPhones you have to go though hoops for Storage and Speed… Not so for Android Phones… LOL
Best Way: Just don’t update. It’s not worth it. If you really want to slow down your phone, just jailbreak it.
The title of the vid should be, “Slow down iOS11 on older iPhones”.
Not to mention how it consumes my battery like a zombie eating brains.
Oh my god that music tho…😫
Can’t please stop these type of videos! They SUCK , completely lazy!
I hate that kind of video where you must read the information. I prefer when it is narrated.
Is it too hard to speak CNET?
I’m gonna wait for the bugs to be fixed before I install iOS 11.
Do I notice that the screen protector on the phone is cracked near the front camera? Come on CNET!!!!
REPLACE OLD BATTERY! All the steps in Cnet’s video are important but what I found crucial in bringing my 5s back to life was by replacing the battery. iOS 10 and 11 ran like crap on my 5s till I replaced the battery and now it feels like a phone again. I was skeptical updating since this will most likely be it’s last software update, but i’m satisfied now unlike when I updated my iPhone 4 to iOS 7.….….. yeah.….….
Ma che cazzo l’ignoranza
nothing significant happens though
song?
I have an iPhone 6 plus and I haven’t noticed any slowdown. In fact I find it a little snappier with iOS 11
The best advice you can adopt regarding Apple under Tim Cook is never upgrade your software until you read about all the new problems with the new software and can make a personal decision as to whether or not you can live with the new problems and more complicated software.
Music is hurrendous. What a headache
Next time make a 1 second video and list it in the description.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Opddv2HCMkM&t=21s speed up your iphone very quickly
Someone’s a fan of Earwolf.
Thanks!
CNET forgot the last step… after you turn off literally every useful feature and delete all your apps, then you shouldn’t forget to throw the phone in the trash to complete the process!
What happened to the Always on torture tests?
deleting content does not speed up an iphone that has available space but still slow. the worst update ever.
So we have to switch off features just so that our phone functions well 😒
My phone is 128 GB & has 50+GB’s available & this shit runs like it’s an iPhone 4 on IOS 9.
Guys, whoever is using iphone 6, I have some advice for you. I just installed iOS 11.2 beta 3 and it’s almost as smooth as iOS 10.3.3. Trust me on this, I’ve suffered enough since updating to iOS 11 and I don’t want any of iphone 6 users to suffer the way I did. So far, this version is the closest thing to 10.3.3. Take my word for it, you won’t regret.
What’s the music
If I have a 16GB how much is actually available to use as default? If it’s say “only” 11GB can I increase that by offloading some apps?
You always click onto these videos thinking you just might get a useful tip, but you never do.
You can see this iPhone 6 is slow because of its degraded battery LOLOL it drops from 73% to 37% in 40 mins
I took me forty seconds to click on this comment section bc my iPhone 6 Plus is slow as FRRRRRIIIICCCCKKKK
let me know whether it is 6 plus or 6s plus
Wish I still had iOS 10, my phone worked way better with it
I had my iphone 6 as business phone for about 1,5 year. It slowed down after latest update, some 2 months back. It’s really noticeable vs before. Loading e.g. Accuweather takes litterally 10–11s, Whatsapp 3s etc etc. It may not seem much but it cannot work like that on a product you spend >500 EUR to buy (even if not my personal money). It’s not acceptable. In comparison I’ve had my private phone, a Oneplus 3 for about the same time and it feels pretty much as quick as it was when I first got it. With this experience in mind, even if I’d like to get a new iphone I am quite convinced I won’t do it if it’ll slow down 1,5 year later.
I recommend everybody to do a clean iOS 11 install ! I restored my iPhone 6 and daamn! It’s way faster now ! I hope it stays like that.
