REPLACE OLD BATTERY! All the steps in Cnet’s video are impor­tant but what I found cru­cial in bring­ing my 5s back to life was by replac­ing the bat­tery. iOS 10 and 11 ran like crap on my 5s till I replaced the bat­tery and now it feels like a phone again. I was skep­ti­cal updat­ing since this will most like­ly be it’s last soft­ware update, but i’m sat­is­fied now unlike when I updat­ed my iPhone 4 to iOS 7.….….. yeah.….….

Guys, who­ev­er is using iphone 6, I have some advice for you. I just installed iOS 11.2 beta 3 and it’s almost as smooth as iOS 10.3.3. Trust me on this, I’ve suf­fered enough since updat­ing to iOS 11 and I don’t want any of iphone 6 users to suf­fer the way I did. So far, this ver­sion is the clos­est thing to 10.3.3. Take my word for it, you won’t regret.

If I have a 16GB how much is actu­al­ly avail­able to use as default? If it’s say “only” 11GB can I increase that by offload­ing some apps?

You can see this iPhone 6 is slow because of its degrad­ed bat­tery LOLOL it drops from 73% to 37% in 40 mins

I had my iphone 6 as busi­ness phone for about 1,5 year. It slowed down after lat­est update, some 2 months back. It’s real­ly notice­able vs before. Load­ing e.g. Accuweath­er takes lit­ter­al­ly 10–11s, What­sapp 3s etc etc. It may not seem much but it can­not work like that on a prod­uct you spend >500 EUR to buy (even if not my per­son­al mon­ey). It’s not accept­able. In com­par­i­son I’ve had my pri­vate phone, a One­plus 3 for about the same time and it feels pret­ty much as quick as it was when I first got it. With this expe­ri­ence in mind, even if I’d like to get a new iphone I am quite con­vinced I won’t do it if it’ll slow down 1,5 year later.
