What the CEO of GoPro said is rubbish! You can film others using your mobile devices and also film yourself.
He has to have a better reason then that. I mean, I get the point of a GoPro. I had a Hero 4 Black as it’s an action camera!

Yeah the image quality is so much better but it doesn’t matter when youtube compresses it a ton. That’s the whole point of getting a gopro — putting it on youtube for others to see.

Isn’t the quality of the Hero5 the same as the Hero4 Black? Every time I hear the name GoPro Karma, I cringe. Also, I seriously think its ridiculous that GoPro is still asking $500 for an Action Camera with all the competitors out there.

The big problem with GoPro is the battery life. The cameras are remarkably light already. They could easily make the camera larger and fit in a larger capacity battery without most people noticing the larger form factor and weight.
