Who pays for this
Way over priced. I installed similar things and it alerts me. No fees.
Hell no!
I work at Vivint Smart Home here in Utah and this shit is worth it
I love Vivint. I started out with just their Solar panels. Then got the smoke detector, window sensors, motion detector, thermostat, alarm panel, doorbell, and outside camera. I love all of it.
That is the worst home “security” system that I have seen so far. Overpriced hardware and a monthly fee that is higher than most fully featured systems that are offered free with a service plan, all while offering fewer features. I can’t believe the FTC has not shut them down yet.
Jesus. Vivant is so money hungry it isn’t even funny. These people will be out of business in no time with prices like this. I’m looking at almost $2,000 for a proper video system then $600 per year for someone to “monitor it”.….? Um. No.
This is NOT an IOT product, it really sucks!
You guys should pivot away from monthly fees!…
Who pays for this shitty product, I’d rather pay for this new chick molly
Garbage
I had Vivint and I didn’t like the digital screen on the wall. It would sometimes start having alarms cause the battery was low and it seemed to not last long cause it was pretty frequent. I once had to call Vivint to come fix something and they chaged me $80 just to coe over to fix it. I was so livid siply because we pay alot as it is and can’t beleive maintenance isn’t included. Another thing that bothered me about Vivint is that they don’t send you statements, not even electronically. I had to bug them to get statements and that made e feel uneasy like they’re doing soethng illegal.
One thing I liked was how the system worked though. The app worked well and I never had an issue with the cameras or the keyless locks or the alarms and when the alarm did accidentally go off they were quick to send the cops over even though nothing happened. In the end, I shut it down, too expensive and that damn screen kept bugging me.
Vivint has great technology but is a deplorable company. Check this BBB score. I had to get the BBB and my State’s AG involved for them to do the right thing and since I was lied to by the sales reps. Do not buy thier System. All of thier home security tech can be sourced from Alarm Do Com home security systems, for half the cost!
Vivint is overpriced equipment that doesn’t allow for upgrades and prone to breaking. Customer service is horrible. Installation techs didn’t install everthing and simply never came back to finish the job. It took over a month to get them to come out and replace a faulty lock. Keep away from this stuff. It’s a lot easier to get a z‑wave hub (I got a Samsung SmartThings) and buy accessories as you need them which sync up nicely.
Piece of shit security
Just wait for ring to bring the heat. Nest and viv are waaay overpriced.
I called them this morning and they sales person on the phone was very pushy. Too expensive and too many bad review. I decided not to go with this company.
$40 a month? Their cost is maybe $8 a month for monitoring. If you’re buying equipment at retail price, you shouldn’t pay $40/ month
RIP OFF!!!
Vivint is a piece of shit company. We got their system installed in our house and from day one, the system didn’t work correctly!… It took several technician visits to try to make the system work, but as ships as they leave, something else stop working, bad cameras, bad door bell, bad DVR, horrible delay with the garage door opener, ect, ect… When we decided to get rid of the system, they send supposedly the their real technicians and not their third party ones, and replaced the entire system with a “new” one. The new system worked fine for a week and then back to the same BS… We are done with this piece of shit company…
BEWARE, don’t fall into their scam! We’re getting ADT, a real and serious home security company…
Basically this is just wasting your money.
just looking
, if anybody is reading this I do not recommend Vivid they mislead their customers under contracts and once a month you have to update your system sometimes the air conditioner don’t work sometimes the sensors don’t work due to the update every week and also they mislead medical patients that has a special needs they say they have a minion gets back program and they help out people with special needs or medical situation they lied to you they set you up and then a couple of months they disconnect your service if you’re part of the Vivint gets back program I’ve been doing my research in the United States they have a law that coordinates if you have a medical situation or medical need tutu utilities they don’t have the right to disconnect your service if you have a medical need if you behind your bill it’s totally against the law I looked into it but then they can get away with that and they think they can get away with necessary I do not recommend this if it was my opinion they need to get rid of contracts if it mess up this much and they mislead customers honestly I think it should be pay as you go on Vivid because having a contract with them due to their mistakes
I have Vivint for like 7–8 years I was looking to update my panel I have two cameras in my home I was looking to getting a new panel the doorbell camera and the camera for the garage on the outside they want 5 years contract and want me to pay 450 for the equipment and said I will pay $25 a month smh crazy
Vivant sucks.
Customers service sucks.
Monitoring system sucks.
They are quick to take your money.
But it take 5 to 7 business days to return it. After they are the ones that suck.
Do not use this business.
Vivint is garbage. I am a customer and wish I wasn’t. The panel can never stay connected to WiFi, I have tried two different routers and none of my other devices have problems. They’ve replaced the network card and the doorbell to try and fix it which didn’t work. They wanted to charge me a fee to come check out why my new system wasn’t staying connected. I told them I’d just cancel my service and they ended up waiving the technician fees. You can’t save videos from your computer, only a phone or tablet. There is no other way to access the hard drive they use to store the video clips on. 80% of the time I can’t even pull the footage. At least one of my cameras goes down during the day for no rhyme or reason. I constantly have to reboot my panel in order to try and get them to come back online. The only reason I keep the service is because I bought the equipment and it doesn’t work with any other service.…what a disappointment
SKETCHY SKETCHY SKETCHY + BAD REVIEWS ON THE BBB AND LAW SUITS. NO THANKS
Still waiting for the class action law suit to roll in smh!! oh government when are y’all going to step in and throw the entire company in prison
Do not get Vivint. $30–40 dollars a month is outrages. Go look at a Ring Alarm system. It does the same thing with out the stupid markup.
vivint smart home protects from home invasions fire disasters floods and alerts you when your not home n case your house is burning down and have no idea vivint with also act on your behalf through the panel and to emergency response times all in less than 10 seconds all equipment is made and opporated by vivint as well and carries a lifetime warranty it is a well priced well deserved system for people who can afford it.
Complete Ripoff. System and app don’t communicate and Vivint won’t do anything about it. As long as things open and close, that’s sufficient for them. Discovered much less expensive systems with far better reviews, unfortunately too late. BEWARE!!
I love my vivint system..I have no problem with it .I have 3 cameras including doorbell and sensors for all doors and windows plus t‑stat and space monkey and 2 door locks for over 2 years and it works great
Don’t go with this company!!
They lie about free equipment or sensors whatever you call!!
They lie to us and know we are getting charge for 900$ after 8 months of services!!
If you read this I’m going to save you a headache
They spam you and sell your details.
I have one too
I have their products.. they are flawless
Where the class action for Ohio?
