You paid $1000 for a teth­er car w/out a motor?? Haha­ha, I find teth­er cars all day long with the engine for less than 500 and in great look­ing shape. You got ripped on that one

Teth­er cars haven’t been a thing since the 19602. fathers who were rich enough to have their pre­teern son’s par­tic­i­pat­ing in this sport had teenagers buy­ing their own vehi­cles for a cou­ple of hun­dred dol­lars. I bought my first car for 85 dol­lars in 1980 at age 16, vit then because i would­n’t let mt old man steal my motor to keep his bro­ken down 4 door mal­ibu on the road, he refused ti let me get my license and made me lose the car for being parked unreg­is­tered in a pub­lic park­ing lot; i might have lost my 75 dol­lar car, but at least he did­n’t get a ‘free’ motor out of his tyran­ni­cal men­tal, 0htsival and emo­tion­al abuse of a 16 year old boy.
(That sum­mer i paid 200 dol­lars and came 8n 7th place at the West­bor­ough Speed­way demo­li­tion der­by, which I was 2 years and unli­censed to par­tic­i­pate in, but did it any­way and got away with it!)
