I love the Extra Crunchy episodes. You guys work well together.
It does have a virtual home button, accessibility in settings
“Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I’m not sure about the universe.”
― Albert Einstein
Samsung gonna have finger print reader in the screen first mark my words
-.- I thought my computer broke when i saw the screen at the beginning LOL
iPhone X is a fail.
This is why I don’t upgrade my phone every year. I’ve gone from the iPhone 3GS to the iPhone 5 to Samsung S7 EDGE. A 3yr gap followed by a 4yr gap. Each time there has been a significant upgrade, (though the iPhone 6 was sorely tempting and money no object I would buy a new phone every other year). The 5 had a much nicer screen, the S7 a much larger OLED screen. Obviously spec boost benefits.
Seeing as the best idea for FACE ID Apple can think of (apart from unlocking your phone) is animated emojis I was thinking there has to be more innovative uses of what had to be expensive tech. I was wondering if it could be used by disabled or reduced mobility phone users to navigate around the phone with facial movements or gestures? Move your head up/down/left/right to navigate, a wink instead of pressing a button!?
why does this guy have a blonde streak through his hair … he looks like Pepe Le Pew.
I spent my money on bitcoin instead
So in essence, Apple actually now has TWO iOS systems, one for regular iPhones and one for the iPhone X.
Brian is totally right, 3D touch homebutton, 3D touch everything!! It’s so underutilized!!
wtf. Sound like a bunch of cry baby’s. Boohoo you have to double click. Honestly!
Personally, i don’t think the swipe feels like extra. When i take my phone up, it already wakes up because of the raise to wake and it sees my face, you can already swipe before it sees you and from the moment it sees you it takes you to the home screen. With touch id, i really think it was very good, but with the 2nd gen being so fast you didn’t have the time anymore to view your notifications, i really think it’s great how they did it with face id 🙂 I like the swipe up to take me home, it’s easy. Up until now i really like my iPhone X 🙂
Uhh you swipe down at the bottom of the screen to initiate reachability, which brings the screen down. Work with the phone for hours or a day and the gestures become second nature,
One ‑handed phone that requires constant thumb motion with a $500 repair bill … Nobody saw the deal … ?
Regarding a rugged version of the iPhone: another channel tortured an iPhone X. I didn’t watch the drop tests but the water tests were astonishing. The ‘phone was still working after a cycle in a washing machine (and being dropped in a river, as well as some time in a tank).
I loved Brian’s comment about “I wish people looked this pleased about their children.” People bang on about “how important children are” and how important their welfare is but, all too often, their feelings for their children are, at best, ambivalent.
I have used and iPhone since the iPhone 1, iPhone X is perfect little to expensive side but thats SAMSUNG to blame. I have Bank insurance and i will only pay £50 to have my iPhone repaired.
Worse thing I found so far on my iPhone X is control centre being on the top right and when your watching anything you have to pull down control centre to see how much battery left and it pauses the video
WTF is a glass cow? You mean like muss cow? Seriously dude.pretty sure it’s pronounced glaz go
iPhones have never been for everyone… you wouldn’t believe how many people can’t remember their passwords and can’t reset it, then get mad when it’s in activation lock or can’t download apps
Mr Tong Glasgow is pronounced GLAZGO. Not glass gow. JFI. Like the show 🖖🏽
Brian, Glasgow is pronounced — “GlazGo” 😂
I’m going to have to disagree with you on the Mom part. My Mom absolutely loves the iPhone X she immediately used the swipe for home feature. For the first time she’s excited for an iPhone. My dad is reacting the same way, something which I have never seen. They will embrace wireless charging. I think this is the phone that changes everything once again.
How can you upload a video that’s all messed up??
Between the new iPhone X and the iPhone 8 Plus, there’s nothing that significant about the 10 to make me want it. The price is absolutely absurd. Me personally, I’ll probably just get the iPhone 8 Plus when I upgrade soon. I don’t feel the 10 has enough to wow me or make me feel like I have to have it or enough to justify dropping $1150. JMO.
The iPhone 8 Plus is still a vast upgrade from the 7 Plus. Between the two I’m still leaning towards the 8 Plus.
I also feel that Apple should allow you to use a previous device to use when you want to upgrade. For instance; if you want the new series 3 watch; they should allow you to use a previous watch’s value to use against the new series 3 so it makes it more affordable. If they do that across the board I feel it would be a great move Apple should do. It’s also great business sense.
Thanks for all you guys do. I always look forward to your videos.
8=====> 😂
Hey CNET, I’ve been using swiping gestures since 2013 with my z10 and z30. You know, BlackBerry had the 1st “10” in their name, BlackBerry 10, a “no home button” smartphone.
