HISTORY delves into the mys­tery of the Zodi­ac Killer while on a mis­sion to crack the code. Through­out the ear­ly 1960s and 1970s, the Zodi­ac Killer, one of history’s most famous uniden­ti­fied ser­i­al mur­der­ers, ter­ror­ized Amer­i­ca in a spree of heinous attacks, send­ing taunt­ing let­ters and codes filled with bizarre and ancient sym­bols. This code has baf­fled some of the great­est minds in cryp­tol­ogy for over 50 years. HISTORY’s new non­fic­tion lim­it­ed series, “The Hunt For The Zodi­ac Killer” opens up a new inves­ti­ga­tion into the mys­tery of this twist­ed ser­i­al assas­sin. Pre­mier­ing on Tues­day, Novem­ber 14 at 10PM ET/PT, this five-part lim­it­ed series, fea­tures a team of top inves­ti­ga­tors and code-break­ers, work­ing in tan­dem with a super-com­put­er, known as CARMEL, the first of its kind pro­grammed to think like a killer. This team believes they may have bro­ken a sig­nif­i­cant por­tion of the dia­bol­i­cal­ly com­pli­cat­ed code, Z340, and have been grant­ed unprece­dent­ed access to police files, new wit­ness­es, new clues, and the coop­er­a­tion of rep­re­sen­ta­tives of the CIA and FBI.
