CNET’s Daniel Van Boom thought 2017 would be a beautiful, blissful VR wonderland. It was not meant to be.

VR is definitely the future, the headsets are getting cheaper and easier to set up. Things like VRChat are awesome! Experiences from companies like Pixar and porn will drive the sales and thus the development for new content!
Vr is the future!
To me VR is a flop and will die just as the Kinect did. AR is the way to go, IMO
Once the prices come down and we get more killer apps and games then we will see VR in almost every home.
I’m not impressed, VR been a miss since I was a kid in the early 90s till now. Yeah the graphics are better but I can’t see myself outside with these headsets. Currently I have Merge VR and Cube since there’s not much for software I’d gave it a try and pass for the meantime.
Do you have peanut butter stuck to the roof of your mouth?!?
VR/AR, AI and Brain-computer interface are the future of humanity.
Not for nothing once VR porn becomes mainstream it’s over.
about underestimating VR… Even Sony itself had underestimated their PSVR at the beginning.
Two words: VR Porn. No, it’s here to stay.
The price point is the killer for me.
Once we have wireless high-quality VR, things will really take off.
Well another cnet reviewer that skipped speaking classes? Can’t you make a test for a clear reading of just few lines before you are hiring for such position?
wow, its really hard to understand what he’s saying
Ok, I usually defend CNET against the legion of haters and trolls, but this video truly was pointless and this guy has mumble-mouth syndrome. Do better.
Drops this video on the same day that Skyrim on VR comes out.
Your Not supposed too be walking around. Your Eyes are Blocked fool… You’re supposed to be seated when wearing them. You need AR not VR for that..
What the f*** is this guy saying🤔
cnet will always be behind the times. Higher some people living in this century and fire all the moms and dads
Why would you walk to work with a VR headset? are you thinking about AR? Unfunny and pointless video
Um…cnet wth is dis?
pointless video
what the hell did he said ZzZZz
As others have said, unfunny and pointless.
I think there are quite a few games to beat on VR, but it’s true that it lacks full blown games.
The proof of concept games are really cheap and the good games are anywhere from $20 — $60.
Where did you find this guy? BRING BACK DONG NGO

VR is an enire new world, empty space waiting to be build on, people can add to it and develope on top of it just like the internet. Login into VR is seeing a whole new immersive world while AR is adding more stuffs to your surrounding. Its not an infinite world, its just trying to add more stuffs into your existing world which is limited. Also why would you want to look at AR through a tiny 5 inches screen When you can be full dive and immerse in VR 360 world? VR is so much better in many ways lol.
Needs to be wireless, why I did not by PS4 VR, too many cables! MKe it wireless include head phones and make it comfortable.
Let’s hire a guy who can’t speak to make narrative content for us! That’ll show everyone how accepting and progressive we are!
You have a finn balor shirt I LOVE WWE
