Way to sell off the bulk of your stock, not related though. Only the largest ever sold leaving just enough to remain CEO.
Intel needs to pay me for a new 5k iMac period. I paid premium for security. Now I feel like Im wearing “the Emperors new clothes” .
I have hard time believing that it existed for so long with no one knowing about it.
How about Tiger Lake and the future architectures? will there be a fix on the hardware level or will they stick with the recipe and tell Microsoft, Google ‚Apple, etc to just keep patching this gaping hole?
LIAR! He sold $24m stocks right before the announcement.
I’ll be going with AMD next time reducing performance on my CPU not cool man
Destroy your computers and never buy a new one until fixed cpus comes out. work with c64 or play with wooden blocks. write your letters by hand and watch squirrels through your window instead of movies running on a computer. … 😉
Time to lawyer up!
Where’s the download link for the i7 6700HQ? My processor’s at risk
Ryzen Master Race!
Stupid CEO… He buys Mobileye and McAfee for Billions.… Then skips out on buying Imagination Technologies Powervr for millions… Goodbye decent integrated graphics on Intel…
Corporate greed and stupidity at its best. Good example of how to spin a crock of shit. I hope this dude goes to jail for insider trading.
Of security was job number one you would’ve stopped this in 1995…
the best thing you can do to keep your data safe… specifically the server farms… is. switch to AMD ryzen 2xxx and Epic 🙂
What does this mean for my i7-4790k?
a hardware bug can be patched with software? 😮
I will look for a class action suit in my country. Microsoft published a blog in which it is said that they “expect most users to notice a decrease in system performance” regarding Haswell customers. For processors newer than 2016 they expect “single-digit slowdowns”. That could be interpreted as: Haswell CPUs and older will have double-digit slowdowns.
When i paid the extra Intel price on top of the extra country price for my 4770K i expected to get a CPU that would last me a long time. It is not acceptable that in 3–4 years to be hit with double digit performance losses caused by such a old screw up. All this also taking into account the USB 3 screw up Intel made that is starting to manifest itself on my PC with frequent USB 3 disconnections.
Right now i’m furious and i feel cheated!
Intel needs to make this go away, they need to make this right!
Yea he lost some credibility when he dropped all stock that he was allowed to. Here’s hoping they make it right for customers with more than a 5% performance hit. Also if they would have kept this under lock and key may have been better.i imagine hackers are tryouts NFL to do this now
Yeah so… that whole ’ won’t affect home computers’ thing was utter nonsense. I was on my laptop at school, it was working great… windows decided to ‘update’ right in the middle of it all and after that my computer barely works. It’s not even 10% slower, it BARELY WORKS!!
Intel Insider Trader!
The cat has gotten fat and lazy. Patching a hardware problem with software is just a bandage on a cut off finger.
I’m building a new PC. I steered clear of Intel products. Shady AF
