How many fridges have food stored and presented like that? As if this AI would work for most, if not all households around the world aha
Just an observation : Most of the videos/coverage by Verge on CES were presented by guys (27 out of 29). Except this one which involved KITCHEN equipment 🤔🤔
Hey Alexa what can I make if I only have Siracha and eggs in my fridge? Oh just Siracha and eggs?… I guess preheat the range? You’ve been a great help.
What if your oven gets hacked
Seems redundant.
It will instruct you on when to pull out. Handy
No voice instructions?
Yeah, internet-connected appliances are an interesting idea. I can definitely see the possible advantages. But when they cost literally an order of magnitude more than regular appliances, no thanks. Yes, I understand that high-end refrigerators without “smart” features can run in to the $2000+ range, but this literally costs double that, for maybe $100 in extra parts. An $800 microwave?!?! That is insane. (Yes, I know, there are companies that make $800 non-smart microwaves; but those are about style. Put the smart features in non-extra-money-for-style stuff, already.)
And with all the security concerns today, I would NOT internet-connect anything that a remote hacker could use to potentially cause physical harm. Turning on my coffee maker? Not a huge deal. Turning on my microwave? Not a big deal. Changing settings on my fridge? You may cause my food to go bad too soon, but not a deal breaker. Turning on my *GAS STOVE*?! If I happened to accidentally leave a kitchen towel a little too close; or a pot with some residue I haven’t cleaned off yet, that could literally burn my house down. No thanks on the internet-connected stove.
Awkward when your wife name is Alexa.
“fill your house with gas” — yeah, I’m pretty sure that’s not what an oven does when left on 😂
A few months later…Alexa is in your gas stove…have fun talking to your gas stove…
asparagus contains suffecient protein for required storage amounts.fish and other animal proteins are toxic to our bodies. google it. are we meant to eat meat? veganism is the future.
Very cool Whirpool. Why do I need this?
…not hotdog.
a microwave that cost $800 wants to prepare the food for you and serve it to you. come on are you for real how can use justify these prices just cause they have wifi built in to them. there is no difference to the appliance
Man I wish this thing would alert me when I leave the gas on
My wife is flipping out that we can’t just dial in and bake. I hoped this would tell me how to set bake. Sitting here while my wife is telling me to send it back. 🙁
“Whirlpool„,just imagine”
It’s a great big beautiful tomorrow shining at the end of everyday
Blue is the new RED
Ok so we have smart phones, smart watches, smart tvs, smart cars, smart thermostats, smart locks, smart homes, smart speakers (i.e. Alexa), SMART FRIDGES, AND SMART OVENS! You wait the next thing will be a smart fork. xD
(EDIT: Not gonna lie though this is pretty cool)
What happens when children are watch tv and the Ad say turn on oven or burner.
You can’t have that oven in a Spanish home! I mean you can’t preheat! We always have pots in there! Lol
I’m waiting for they invent the Smart self paying Rent.
Alexa is NOT safe, this info could easily be used by military’s and countries hostile to the West.
Alexa is CONSTANTLY monitoring and translating everything you say and sending it to Amazon and WHOEVER they sell it to. The government need to introduce anti-Creepy laws yesterday. There has never been this amount of control of personal info and it could easily be used against consumers. Time to get realistic.
Anyone care for a pizza?
Everything’s designed to spy on you: like in George Orwell’s book ‘1984’.
I hope this is never mandatory
That is so cool
They don’t even make that fridge anymore. I guess no one wanted to spend 4300 it.…
Whirlpool Customer support does not exist. DO NOT BUY WHIRLPOOL!!!
When the product doesnt work. No technicians to help. They dont show up for appointments. Leaving me with a $800 paperweight that should be a refridgerator. Hours on hold trying to get a hold of customer service who cant help you at all! so disappointing. will never buy again!
It would be nice to see a video with an honest review focusing on the “is it worth it” perspective. Instead of a commercial.
Imagine the repair bills for convenience, next up safeway ads EVERYWHERE hounding you to buy more .….
