Android philosophy.…..lets listen to our customers and lets make a phone that suits them the best.…apple philosophy.…dont give a damn what my customers want…lets make a phone WE like the best…and they will just have to get used to it.…
I loved the iPhone X. Couldn’t wait to get one. Loved the form factor, loved the camera, loved the screen. But, as a sport/bike person, using the X is sooooooooo frustrating and 20% of the time — had to use passcode. I got sick of pinching videos to get full screen and didn’t like how it crops so much. So many videos are not optimised so its wasted space and likewise, a lot of apps still not updated. Realise that will come in time but to spent AU$1800 on a phone that isn’t the total package — seems crazy. So, after much internal debate back and forth, traded X for iPhone 8 PLUS. It’s been two weeks and couldn’t be happier. I know its a personal choice, but iPhone 8/+ are both optimised for iOS, apps and media. Sorry Apple, as long time fan, first time I’ve been a little underwhelmed. The X is still amazing. It just wasn’t for me, especially for the price.
FaceID has been far more reliable than touchid has been for me I terms of success rate. Though could be faster, it’s fast enough for me. It’s normally already done by the time I swipe up. The only thing I really find annoying by it is when it does fail on the lock screen, there isn’t a button or prompt to have it retry, so I have to turn off and on the phone again to get it to try again or type in the passcode. Other than that FaceID has been just fine and I actually prefer it to TouchID, which I had a lot more annoyances with.
Weak af. Doesn’t matter how bad the phones get. They will still buy it.
Concept phone my ass! It’s $1,000.00 brah!
I love my iPhone X. I can’t complain. I love my notch and I love my Face ID.
The notch was truly a bad move from apple.
Why doesn’t apple give customers both features? Touch and face? Samsung does.
Why pay $1000 for a phone that is still in the alpha stages? I would say iPhone 7 is probably the best value iPhone out right now. I guess it’s very subjective, but $1000 for a phone that doesn’t have many features and a deal breaker face ID that does work all the time is a no go.
These guys (hackhaven121@gmail.com) just got me a new iPhone X for free! I’m sooo excited! hit them up for yours
Not the notch. Brian, the phone is rubbish, man up and say it. September there will be newbies .…and the year after that.
PS
Nice family… remember first comes the engagement ring, then the marriage ring and finally the suffering.
For someone who sweats his hands at least a bit everyday, it’s been the best solution ever. Those scenarios where you need to enter your passcode are the least common. I love FaceID so far!
I thought the same on the selfie portrait mode! The portrait mode on the rear camera is super useful, but the selfie portrait mode is meh. I do not get why Apple or Google are talking about this so much. To blur the background when you hold the camera that close to you is kind of nonsense to me. Even it could blur the background perfectly (it couldn’t right now), it will still be unrealistic. I could not really imagine a situation when I would take a selfie and wanted the background to be blurred.
Why would someone want to unlock their phone on a table if they don’t pick it up to check something or reply a message? If u just want to check the time u can just touch the screen and the screen will lit up. This is stupid thing to say that u can’t use face id while it’s on a table.
“Apple, the notch, you got me in trouble bro!” LOL
This review confirms what I thought, this phone is unpolished, poorly integrated to what iOS core usage is all about: simplicity, and easiness of use.
And that notch…🤦🏽♂️
there are pros and cons,
for example i didnt have to take off gloves everytime I had to check msg in winter, or while driving when i could just look at the phone and it unlocks preview msg.
people usually dont like change but i like it
And then youre still using it
Nice phone but I won’t by a new iPhone until they get rid of that horrendous notch why just they don’t make it flat 🙄
I’m waiting for the 2018 model, Apple usually fix’s all the kinks in the second version just like the 6 and 6s
Word up son
You are by far one of the best reviewers out there 👌😊👍 god bless man
Lmao, you need a Samsung
iphone 8 plus!
This guy’s yellow hair is like the notch on the iPhone X. It looks wack.
Fuk iphone.
Yeah I’m not upgrading to anything without a fingerprint sensor. It’s the perfect solution, don’t fix what isn’t broken.
if youre not happy with iphone x . you should be happy with your girl friend
Good job.
I love the notch
How many people are really trying to hack into your phone?
CNET blows now without Brian, unsubscribed !
