Toshiba’s new smart glasses hands-on

Toshi­ba says the screen doesn’t need real AR but the still real­ly need $1900 😂👍🏾

This would be more use­ful, at least for me (as a build­ing automa­tion spe­cial­ist) if it only were an exter­nal dis­play, so I could have my com­mis­sion­ing soft­ware on the mini-pc and a key­board-touch­pad com­bo on my wrist, con­nect it to an, let’s say, A/C machine; so I would­n’t have to drag my lap­top around (Which some­times that is to big to car­ry around all over the build­ing site). So with this I could go to the machine, hook it up, and still have my hands free, while being able to see on the soft­ware all that I’m doing.

I see the glass­es is heavy one side 😂

The mini pc is bet­ter than my lap­top’s specs

It’s unbe­liev­able such a big com­pa­ny can pro­duce some­thing so dumb.

I’m pret­ty sure the Toshi­ba guy was pissed off that she was­n’t sell­ing it too well (not her fault as it looks fair­ly unfin­ished) which is why he sound­ed pret­ty snarky at the end when he said “you should con­cen­trate on your job”

Unlike oth­er com­menters here I under­stand it’s bulk­i­ness because it’s ruggedi­zed for use in harsh work­ing con­di­tions and I under­stand why you’d use this instead of a phone. 1. To save your phone bat­tery 2. So you can use both hands

They are already smart glass­es that are much lighter and bet­ter than these.
