This video is so redeem­ing. I have been say­ing this all my life. I noticed the usu­al fix was to nudge the car­tridge and try again. My bud­dy had this com­i­cal process of blow­ing as hard as he could, then three taps on his leg. Hilarious.

I found out breath­ing on the game rather than blow­ing into it worked bet­ter. the mois­ture from your breath helped make bet­ter con­tact. of course lat­er on I learned how to prop­er­ly clean car­tridges so I nev­er have to blow into them now

I knew this was nev­er good for my games, but if it did­nt boot after 5 tries, I’m blow­ing into it, and after­wards it works.

Wrong. The mois­ture from your breath gives bet­ter con­duc­tiv­i­ty to the met­al con­tacts and can remove small amounts of new dust; it’s not good for the long term because of cor­ro­sion, but it does work. A bet­ter method is to just use Q‑tips and a high % iso­propyl alco­hol to clean the pins.

Say what you want but it worked EVERY time. Nev­er had the prob­lems with lat­er consoles.

Actu­al­ly, my old copy of majo­ras mask did­n’t work until I blew on it. I tried insert­ing it like 10 times, but it only worked once I blew on it.

It was a men­tal fix. We felt like it worked. Tak­ing it out and re insert­ing a 10x drove u nuts. At least you got some kin­da of men­tal release blow­ing into the cartridges 😂

The only way my poke­mon blue works is to blow into it every time so how do you explain that?
