For sell­ers cards are has­sle as well. Because besides swipe, it could be insert or nfc type type card. And you can’t eas­i­ly tell them apart. And the damn cards only sup­port one type of usage. So when you use it incorect­ly, you have to try again. But the pay­ment method is reversed for insert cards — you have to insert first and then type the sum. And guess what — the clients just hold their card in their hands and just stare at you. And noone I MEAN NOONE says what type of card they are hand­ing to you. So when you have mul­ti­le nation­al­i­ties half of the time you have to do the damn card pay TWICE. In rare occa­sions you do it 3 times. And that is if they work at all. So you fum­ble around with it and the cus­tomers get ner­vous and unsure if the pay­ment went trough or not. They don’t under­stand the process and they don’t care to wait. Nobody likes to wait. Nat­u­ral­ly. So the process is slow.

Coz banks won’t make mon­ey that’s why it’s still a mess

How they say: don’t like it don’t use it. Stop crit­i­cis­ing oth­er. Invent some­thing by yourself.

sam­sung pay thats most suc­cess­ful of all mobile wal­lets. I use it. works 100%. I have nev­er been to a place where this pay­ment was­nt accept­ed. Years old ter­mi­nals from Auto Zone to new­ly installed NFC read­ers at Stop & Shop its accept­ed every where. yes every­where. Apple is just a sta­tus sym­bol noth­ing more. A device just for lazy folks.

Yes peo­ple car­ry wal­let also because it has their ID etc. But wal­lets are usu­al­ly in my back pock­et and I don’t want to reach for my wal­let, pull out card, swipe it, input pin number/sign then put every­thing back while I often have my phone in my hands and all I could do is just tap and go.
The mobile pay­ments will grow and get big. Just look at Aus­tralia, UK and espe­cial­ly Chi­na or Japan, they use con­tact­less 90–99% of the time.
Even here in Europe the con­tact­less pay­ment has surged so big in just 3 years while USA is still stub­born to pay few extra bucks for con­ta­c­less POS terminal…get on with the future because oth­er­wise peo­ple will avoid places that don’t accept con­tact­less pay­ment just because how incon­ve­nient it is.

Use wechat and alipay…that’s the future.

A politi­cian in Philadel­phia got mad at Sweet­green for hav­ing cash­less trans­ac­tions. It’s the same politi­cian that put a sug­ar tax on soft drinks. Gov­ern­ment should not dic­tate what pri­vate busi­ness­es han­dle pay­ments as new forms of pay­ment solu­tions are com­ing out.
