#Foldable #Devices #Change #Game
You dream a lot
I miss flip phones, not foldable screen…
They’re just accessories to the smartphones tho. Wearable can’t replace them
If these devices are not affordable then they will flop like 3d tv’s and overpriced ultrabooks.
tech will be easier again …when we move in another direction from handheld to wearable
I don’t like the whole concept of foldable devices but hey that’s probably just me.
Umm… This is android authority. Not apple authority.
Foldable phones is a novelty idea. WTF?! I have no such bad memories of the Palm Treo. I do have bad memories of the HTC T‑Mobile Windows PC phone and especially of the HP Windows PC phone in the 2000’s. It wasn’t until the iPhone that I had a better experience over the Treo.
Im not sure wearable’s will be the next best thing to kick off, nor will this fold-able design. Wearable’s suffer from what early devices suffered from.….….size!!. i have an old device to this day a htc desire s and for that time that was a large screened device over its smaller sister the wldfire s. now these devices to this day are still larger than all smartwatches so i dont see how wearable’s will kick off if we have issues with optimal screen size to this day?. Some enjoy 4.7″, some crave smaller 4″ and then more and more crave 5″+ and into phablet size.
I honestly think the deciding factor to all this could be the invention of AI assistants that actually work consistently and to what people expect them to. All of the AI assistants today are a poor representation and literally all most use them for is fact finding or playing your spotify!. when innovation comes tot his sector it will dictate the rest, IMO.
But the one place everyone will agree on is first.….….BATTERIES THAT LAST MORE THAN A DAY!!!. sorry for the caps but i think this is the one area device manufaturers need to answer for, innovate all you want but if you have to charge 1–2 times a day for just using your phone is pathetic and needs to end.
Maybe by 2077
Amazing Concept 👍😍
many years ago they did this experiment where they managed to connect a smartphone with a small projector and some control interface where you could do work on your phone on a much bigger surface thanks tot the projector… they said in a few years it would be available everywhere … well
Of course if They make a foldable bendable display when opened it would be like 7 inches or whatever I wouldn’t even need a tablet,I’d so buy it even if it’s 2k
Nope the price would be ENERMOUS so NO
Are we even sure whether it is FOLDABLE, BENDABLE or FLEXIBLE ?
Apple in 2025 — This is the best iPhone we have ever made.
The only scenario a foldable device would be cool in is in a laptop. In the rest of the cases it’s just a dumb gimmick.
I think that in the future, whenever we have holograms or some sort of easily expandable display, smart watches could replace phones entirely as the screen could just extend out when needed or something like that. But who knows
Galaxy X is expected next year but I’ll wait to see what Apple or Sony do whether they will make a foldable device.
The Prophecy has been told.….…. All hail Master Broda.….hoooooooo!
Smart wristband 😀
yeah the shirt phone speakers/mic on the collar and screen sleeves camera button bio metric batteries
Neuro-link will be the real game-changer. No screen, no keyboard. Not even audio. But a direct fusion of mind and machine.
Too young 😂 I wasn’t even born till until 4 years later 😂
I think foldable phone’s would be a thing IF, when folded up they wouldn’t be so thick and clunky. With most smartphones being slim and thin nowadays, the last thing you want is to be carrying around something that feels like a brick when it’s in it’s folded up mode.
Rear facing cameras, in their current form, are quite large. I’m not an expert on how camera optics work, but isn’t it necessary for them to be a certain size to fit larger lenses? So if you shrink down the rear camera to a “selfie camera” size so it can be on the screen side of the phone, wouldn’t it be a worse camera?
I don’t even know why everyone’s getting so excited about the ‘Galaxy X’ and foldable smartphones, I mean, we’ve already seen it before
With the iPhone 6!
