In this season of Space Craft, follow along as Loren Grush investigates some of the ways people are preparing to live in space – from testing out habitats and growing food, to learning about the physiological challenges and medical trainings necessary to survive.

If you could, would you live on another planet?
nice I don’t even know that seaason 1 exist 😀
Season one actually took place in ancient Egypt when they helped build the pyramids and gave the pharaoh a sports almanac. Keep asking questions
Awesome
I thought it was real
To be honest and realistic, I still feel that we will go to mars after 2030. We don’t have the tech, funding, experience, and space infrastructure to do it.
Space Craft is back!!!!!
This series needs more recognition!
Where r u Justin y

the first season was great and this news is something to get really excited about!
At some point, one of these episodes is just going to be Loren blasting off in a rocket.
YAY! I can’t wait 😍 but how is this not a Verge science exclusive?
Loren Crush ❤️
There was a season 1
So excited for more of this amazing content! Looking forward to it, Lauren and team.
I already live alone in an adobe cottage on the New Mexico desert, so it’s not that big a leap. It’s really about being able to imagine The Good Life in the particular situation, which throughout the solar system is very likely to be quite similar everywhere; large and largely windowless concrete shell structures or excavated spaces where life revolves around high-tech indoor gardening, you spend all your time indoors because most of the heavy lifting work is done by telerobotics, and the interior decor is the product of small-scale production –like the laser-cut and 3D printed products of today’s Fab Labs and Maker Spaces. That’s the actual aesthetic of life in space. If you can imagine ‘home’ in a place like the Kansas City Subtropolis, you’re space settler material. And why not?
Space agencies always seem to be trying to impress us with how terribly hard living in space is –worst real estate marketing strategy ever! Eventually, the shine wears off the space adventure narrative. We’re not likely stumbling into the world of Avatar in an overlooked crater somewhere. There are no likely big surprises in the immediate neighborhood. There is lots to learn, but the remaining discoveries are mostly the sorts of things that impress geologists. Space is really about what you might make there, not what you might find there. It’s the creative opportunity. The ultimate attraction of space is space itself; the free room and resources to make whatever you are clever enough to figure out how to make in that environment, given that every damned thing on Earth is owned by somebody else. And the ultimate reason anyone goes to live anywhere is that they can imagine realizing some model of The Good Life there.
Wow! Coolest video I saw today
This looks so cool! Really looking forward to it
