Nokia 8110 4G review

In the­o­ry it is a cool phone for what it is (calls and hotspot) noth­ing more. How­ev­er It is quite unsta­ble, loos­ing calls, bad call qual­i­ty some­times and most of all, the key­board is lit­er­al­ly use­less! Often sense one press to be dou­ble one..so writing/typing a text or even a new con­tact name in is real pain in the ass. I had already changed a piece back in war­ran­ty and the next phone had exact­ly the same issue! Typ­i­cal weak chi­nese qual­i­ty, noth­ing to do with the great orig­i­nal Nokia back in time. :/

why would any­one make that phone in 2021?

does this phone has con­ver­sa­tion view in the mes­sages, that you have an overview of all the texts from one per­son and don’t need to open every seper­ate mes­sage? thanks!

It’s amaz­ing how a tech review can miss the point so bad­ly. This isn’t a smart­phone, was­n’t try­ing to be, and it is cheap. Expect­ing iPhone build qual­i­ty and sup­port is out­landish and off base. Every­thing that was dis­cussed as a neg­a­tive about this phone in this review is, in real­i­ty, the positives.

I like the con­cept of a phone like this, and I think reviv­ing clas­sic designs is def­i­nite­ly a great idea for Nokia to set them­selves apart from oth­er phone man­u­fac­tur­ers. How­ev­er, I think I’d want a lit­tle bit more out of this phone.

Maybe there isn’t a huge mar­ket for this, but I think I’d real­ly love some­thing between a fea­ture phone and a smart­phone. Take this phone and give it bet­ter build qual­i­ty, a bit faster proces­sor, a lit­tle bit more stor­age (or just let me use a 64GB or 128GB SD card), and price it at $199. The BLU Vivo Air was a pret­ty darn good phone that sold for $199 and that was a full-blown Android smart­phone, so it should be doable. I don’t need (or even real­ly want) full-blown Android, just the smart­phone basics (like Youtube, nav­i­ga­tion, web brows­ing, etc).

If they could offer that and address all of those issues men­tioned in the video (nicer feel, nicer screen, bet­ter dura­bil­i­ty, smoother slid­er, no lag between apps), then I’d glad­ly pay a small pre­mi­um for a high-end fea­ture phone that is unique and func­tion­al. Dura­bil­i­ty in par­tic­u­lar is an absolute neces­si­ty, espe­cial­ly since that was a hall­mark of those old Nokia mod­els. They just last so much bet­ter than mod­ern phones, I don’t under­stand why this phone can’t bring that qual­i­ty back.

The whole point of this phone is NOT to be a smart­phone you dum­b­ass! It’s a delib­er­ate “dumb phone”. Do you not get that?! And you’re from Indone­sia so why are you pre­tend­ing to be American??

Also not every­one wants a smart phone, I know plen­ty of peo­ple that just want some­thing simple…like a jit­ter bug.
