Yeah they should have bought it for 200 bucks and then do the research.
I mean things probably worth north of 50 granf
Joplin’s Mercedes sold for 1.2million… they bent this guy over… 200K would of been a real price.
I would have bought it.….
This was absolutely the best find I’ve ever seen on this show! I’ve met Mike and Frank when they were in my state. They’re really nice guys just like on the show! 👍👍
IT BELONGS IN A MUSEUM!
sells for 25, invest 5k, sells to hardrock in vegas for 300k…
suckers born ever day
The seller is an idiot! All he had to do was use a little common sense and make the inquiries himself, instead of involving the Picker dorks. If he had watched any of their previous shows, he would clearly see how they operate. One call to the The Rock N’ Roll Hall Of Fame, and they would have set him straight. That Van could have sat on display exactly like it was found, and he could have received an entertainment museum tax roayalty every year it was displayed, which would have far exceeded what the greedy American Pickers would and did give him!
Well, people pay much more than that for say a rare guitar, or a stage costume ect…lol, Id personally have offered 5k tops for that bucket.
How can you buy something like that and let it sit for 10 years like that?
If that was sitting in my yard, I would find out asap more about it.
It should either stay in sunapee nh or Boston mass.
Amazing that every inch of that van is weather worn EXCEPT for the logo and character. Just amazing. Must have been expensive paint. How did a young band starting out afford such paint? 40 plus years and that paint job is still vibrant. Anyone know what brand of paint that could be?
I would restore the van into its original condition, preserve the art Joey Kramer’s friend had done and present it to the band as a gift and sell it to the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame for a million bucks.….
where is it now!?
Great story!
Anyone arguing with the price is idiotic. 25k is cheap for the amount they will get back on it. If you can’t see the value, you just don’t have a brain for business.
Too bad those two scumbags own it now
MOST ICONIC? No . 99% of the population had no idea it exists.
SCRAP IT 300 bucks
I feel like such a boomer watching this show.
They just Over pay for the show. In reality its buy low and sell High.
I loved the entire clip untill the end when Frank said “Dream on” I turned and faced the nearest wall and began to bang my head repeatedly. 🤦♂️
3:50 Frank with the epic response!
I was watching this episode when it originally aired. It was really exciting. A donor van was purchased so that the metal from it can be used on the Aerosmith van. It will be interesting to see what it will look like when the van is finished and ready to be shown with the group in Vas Vegas. Sure do hope that the History channel covers that event.
History boi
Dude do this guy don’t know rock music is black music. And guess what white people hip pop is never gonna turn into rock music were white people gonna take over it. Sorry but hip pop look good woth black folks doing it.
They probably flipped it for 100k to Aerosmith.
Now find REO Speedwagon’s original truck.
Van worth $1000 and fake painting on side would cost me $800 from any starving art student
That paint looks a little too bright for sitting 50 years. I bet they spruced it up for the show.
$25000 = cheap !
Awesome just Awesome episode of “American Pickers” and My favorite Rock Band of all time Aerosmith!. 🎹🎶🎤🎸
Cool. 😀👍
Guy probably bought the property it was abandoned on.
Band member of Aerosmith but still drives a Honda 😲
🤟🏻🤟🏻🤟🏻🤟🏻🤟🏻🤟🏻💜💜💜💜💜 Aerosmith for eveerrrr
This is the only time I have seen Mike Wolf rip someone off. If I was the owner of that van I would have laughed and said no thanks for that price think ill just keep it. Mike could not sleep thinking about that van setting in the woods. with the millions of dollars standing there. that man should have gotten at least $150,000
how much was the owner asking??? Did the pickers get him to come down to $25Gs???
never let douchebags rob you blind
Its not all about the money its the history you cant put a number on this van . Just love it I would of paid 30k for this van
now i cant watch any other episode ..l0l sweet !!!
Now find jim morrison’s mustang
They edited in the 22 grand
Would not sell it for less than 100 G.
So Fake
