Microsoft is updating its Surface Pro and Surface Laptop with familiar designs, but updated internals. Both the Surface Pro 6 and Surface Laptop 2 add Intel’s 8th-generation processors and a new matte black color variant. The Surface Laptop 2 is supposed to be 85% faster than the previous generation and uses the “thinnest ever LCD” on a touch laptop. The Surface Pro 6 now has improved cooling and supports quad-core processors.

No usb‑c no buy
Awesome mate black!
Is pro 6 come with 19x10 screen?
Surface Pro 6 it is worth it?
Where is that wallpaper from the surface on the right?!
These looked good and I was interested right up until he said no USB C. What a joke.
Maybe someday, Microsoft will find a way to add a dedicated GPU to make the Surface Pro truly pro.
No USB‑C and $2500 CDN for 16gb of Ram.
People keep talking about the lack of USB‑C. My biggest disappointment is the downgraded graphics in the i7 skew. What am I supposed to do if my complete-coverage 2017 Pro needs replacing after they stop carrying my model?
i think Mac is better than surface pro
The real problem with the lack of USB‑C is that it also means a lack of Thunderbolt!
USB C . USB C
I honestly don’t mind not having usb type given that Surface Pro only has one usb port which I rather that be Type A, since my mouse, keyboard, external hard drive, phone connection cables are all USB Type A. It would be nice if they could replace the charging port with USB C though but has to be one of magnetic connector ones. But that would mean, existing $200 surface docks and charging cables will then need to be retired, not sure how people would feel about that.
I never used a usb C device, and I am happy to see this device don’t have that, but has headphone jack and full size USB which is more convenient to use all of my pendrives and harddisks without an adapter
Link the stuff you take your hands on
Pls
Microsoft is literally the Apple of computers 🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️
Just to add to the USB confusion. Microsoft’s site states that the Surface Laptop 2 and Pro 6 have 1x USB 3.0 (type A/5Gbps) socket while several other sources claim it’s a 3.1 gen 1 (10Gbps) port!!!! I note that in this video the revision or speed is not mentioned. So which is it?!
@0:45 😂
Zoom in at 1:50 to show what’s actually available
Theres no usb ‑c because of the microsoft doking station if theres where one the dok wont be necessary
Alcantara, obsolete ports and windows 10s were the dealbreakers
Lovin the black
No USB‑C stopped me getting the Surface Pro BIZARRE decision — I gotta have battery charging option (and I’m not gonna dongle that — why should I?)
And then they will tell that Surface is a Burning Platform without sales …
Apple needs a competitor to this surface pro. Their new iPad Pro is AWESOME but it doesn’t run Mac OS. That’s what’s stopping people from using their iPads instead of MacBooks. But guessing that’s what they want to happen.
The black coloring actually costs 150€ extra … oh and also win 10 home instead of pro because why not be forced to download updates
Can we get a full review on this one?
I got the base model black surface pro. Don’t really care or need usb c. If you don’t really need usb c don’t be deterred from this gen!
Can someone help me with deciding which one to get?
