What a psycho woman!!
Happy Valentine’s Day… he… he…
Mary Shelley is actually my goth icon.… I aspire to be as dramatic and romantic as her one day.
Frankenstein was a phenomenal book but I should’ve known it takes a wacko to write a book about wackos
poor lady, her whole life was filled with death.
Pretty romantic if you ask me
Its beautiful
Brain and heart are connected .but his soul maybe in his pineal gland if she wants to see him again . By dangerous scinece
Edgar Allan Poe: I wrote a story of a guy who dismembered someone and placing his heart under the floor boards…
Mary Shelley: Well, I got my husband’s heart after he died, and I wrapped it a nice silk and take it with me as if he’s still there„, ❤
Edgar: 😱
I can’t really sleep on this one
I always thought Percy Bysshe Shelly died of TB ie consumption…what a curious post humous event and the ultimate memento mori <3
She is my great great grand mother.
Don’t believe me?
My last user names Last name was “Godwin”
So. Tell me that I’m not related to her.
I can understand keeping a strand of hair but his heart? Guess it could’ve been another more horrific body piece…
Why is this edited to be soo scary? Like sheesh calm down. We just need to know what happened lol
In 1814, Shelley began a romance with one of her father’s political followers, Percy Bysshe Shelley, who was already married. Together with her stepsister, Claire Clairmont, she and Percy left for France and travelled through Europe. Upon their return to England, Shelley was pregnant with Percy’s child. Over the next two years, she and Percy faced ostracism, constant debt and the death of their prematurely born daughter. They married in late 1816, after the suicide of Percy Shelley’s first wife, Harrie. Mary was acturally a monster’s bride. Keeping the heart of her husand was absolutly monstrous.
I keep thinking of the Pirates Of The Caribbean movies! After Will Turner killed Davy Jones and takes over The Flying Dutchman he literally gives his heart to Elizabeth!
Is this one of the inspiration for Davy Jones character?
If anybody cared to do any sort of research into those two, and the company they kept.…you would be appalled by the way they lived. (If you have any morals) Percy was a raging narcissist, competing with another raging narcissist- Lord Byron.…and Mary was a deeply wounded and screwed up co-dependent young woman who was taken in by a few flowery compliments and a false sense of liberation instilled into her by privileged, “intellectual” parents. Brilliant writers both of them. But I would never romanticize their toxic relationship and how their irresponsible lifestyle hurt others around them.
It’s an example of eternal love imo. Don’t know why is this presented in such a way. This is horrifying than Frankenstein
Come on people
This is kind of beautiful and poetic
BEST COUPLE IN LITERATURE
maybe she had a secret lab.
why the music sounds scary. this is romantic in a macabre way.
