It has a 3D display, 3D cameras, it costs more than an iPhone XS Max and we kind of dig it.

Is a 3D screen something you’d want to see in other phones or nah?
ICYMI, check out our iPhone XR review: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=znz8o-boH0E
Pure disappointment. They thought building hype would be a good thing.
I don’t like the looks of a phone at all looks like something fake from the 80s and I wouldn’t buy this phone if it was like 50 bucks
WhY
I can’t believe that 3d isn’t a standerd option on all tech weather it’s a laptop, tv, console, phone, camera or camcorder. It should already be a normal option on all games movie and TV services.
Once in “awhile”?
Wait, it’s almost like the 3D effect of a photo that we saw in the htc one m8, isn’t it?
Like HTC EVO 3D and LG P920 3D it won’t be for the mainstream bog standard users. It’s a RED, so it’s got high tech film industry cred, it’ll be pricey but as I said ‘it’s a RED’. 3D professionals and hobbyists will be salivating but it’s certainly not a replacement for facebooking snaps of your macca’s
That looks like garbage
It’s 3d stickers on my fridge
Wow He is annoying to listen to. sooo MUCH saliva. Or thick cheeks dunno what
If your unable to share the 3d pictures with anyone the 3d is pointless, just gimmick like the HTC, but a lot more expensive
It will become a nice collectible. Maybe a conversation piece.
Pretty good, decent, not terrible. Definitely not the kind of epithets you want to be attached to 1300 smartphone.
3d screens has been tried before by LG and HTC
Both have dropped the support for those devices very soon.
So, you broke down it’s appeal but not its real world quark; not really any way, I mean the phone is all show and that’s all you explained about it.. This isn’t a review, this is a “Reveal” if anything.
sprint ain’t pick this up .. Lol
I love all the comments from people who don’t own, haven’t seen, haven’t even smelled the phone in person
I’m living a nightmare with mine first I can’t access cause says wrong password and to get worse my sim is stuck 😡😡😡😡😡
Mate 20 lite or honor play?
They reinvented the Amazon Firephone. The tilting crap was cool for ten minutes, then I turned it off. Waiting for the Red fire sale.
This looks like .. bankruptcy..
I feel the guy over at The Verge did a much better job of presenting this phone
How does it work?
For stereoscopic photos the cameras should seriously be the same distances apart as your eyes
Cnet is clearly just paying the bills with this favorable review to a very overpriced, mediocre phone that delivers on nothing that it promised.
nice review bro. i just picked this phone up to day!
So do you prefer the Red Hydrogen One or the Apple phones?
They didn’t even make the camera or lense and decided to buy 2nd rate parts from other companies and just added there own colour science for photography. This phone is literally another essential flop. waste of money .
This is the first video about the hydrogen one where you can actually see the 3D to some extent anyway when you’re looking at these photos that they’re showing such as the cat
Best 400 euros phone? Plsssss
So… a glorified Nintendo 3DS screen? Or a new version of early 90’s attempt on holographic 3D screens? The concept of a 3D phone screen isn’t bad, but I can see where it poses an issue. It’s like asking… would you want to look at your phone as though you’re constantly wearing 3D glasses?
Just from my experience, and coming from someone who is an avid user of my Nintendo 3DS… sometimes, it feels good to turn off that 3D and stick with something that’s easier on the eyes.
What the crap was this guy trying to convey when talking about the cat??
My 3ds did this first
gentlemen, 3D porn. you’re welcome.
A true 3D that is approaching holographic display effect is truly a revolutionary design for a smartphone. The ability to add a professional RED DSMC camera will be awesome.
Woooo
Omg blow your NOSE!!!!!!!
“Holographic” — LOL. It’s just plain lenticular … It’s like calling electric Porsche “turbo” 😀
I have been looking for info on a camera that doesn’t distort, especially portraits. People will say “hey ya get what ya see!” No, actually you don’t. We have two eyes, and cameras generally have only one lenz. I had to think of multiple ways of framing a search question (not binocular), …Stereo camera? Kinda weird to phrase a visual thing in auditory terms. Well, glad I found this. People either love it or hate it. I guess if you’re all about things you can do with an image after taking a picture I can understand. I just want a good photo. Period.
