Why would I buy this over MacBook Pro with touchbar or iPad Pro 2018 12.9
Guys is the base model processor bad ?
Compare it with iPad pro
How is the base model compare to tab s4? Which one do you recommend?
It is faster than the the iPad pro
Dapak.….….… What can you do on it.…. It’s just like an android tablet.….….….….….…. Better get a proper windows laptop
I mean… its already 2 times better than any apple device
Google is trying to become apple but worst
some google products are priced so hi. its dumb
A little bit overpriced?! Understatement of the year. Not to mention NO ONE needs that i7 nonsense. And, the outrageous price increases for the SSD upgrades: $100 for 32 > 64 …GTFOH!
Samsung tab S4 baby. I fail to see why I need Chrome os rubbish, or why a mobile device is x86. The only purpose of x86 is running windows.
Yeah it’s called a MicroSD slot. You can conveniently find them on other Android based tablets. Way to go Google!
By installling Real VNC on any Chromebook you may access any Linux, MacOS or Windows computer
as a remote graphical terminal
You need to install and configure Real VNC also on your MacOS, Linux or Windows computer
I’ll take the Pixel Slate seriously when I see it has the same range of tablet specific apps as the iPad Pro. Until then, it’s just a nice to have, not a serious contender as my everyday device. Unfortunately, it’s the only pure Google/Android tablet available. As for the Pixelbook type devices… they are a less capable legacy laptop product, but with a touchscreen and gimmicky stylus.
I was so excited to get this
as I am a Google/ Android enthusiast all the way and have been in the market
for a solid 2 in 1. After 2 days though I am returning it. Repeated freezing,
stuttering during video playback, poorly optimized Android apps etc and it’s
going back. I can hardly fathom that Google would release this thing with such
poorly vetted software. Maybe after several updates it will get better, but
after paying $1k for it I can’t justify patiently waiting for it to get better.
I have only used it as a tablet and other reviewers suggest it does better in
laptop mode. That’s all fine and dandy, but I need it to function as tablet
first. Hardware-wise it’s beautiful. Can’t say much negative about the screen,
sound, appearance, speed etc. Chrome OS just isn’t ready for a tablet. Back to
the drawing board Google. It looks like SAMSUNG GALAXY TAB S4 is the solution.
Super product from Google to break apple product records.…..
I don’t really mind Google overpricing their own products. Think about it, it’s actually a good business idea. Sell the best of the best in your field, but overprice it like hell. It’s what microsoft does with the surface line, and they do it so that they’re not screwing their OEM’s which they get money from anyway. Google is doing the same thing, they’re building the “best” you can buy in their category, and they’re overpricing so as to compete a little less with the other manufacturers which pay them anyway. It’s a respectful business design. Is it overpriced? Hell yeah. Is it the best product you can get in this category? Arguably yes. But is this good for the industry as a whole? Yes it is, it’s a great thing for everyone in the industry.
LAHN! Miss ur reviews!
overpriced convenience„, try ipad.
The New Google Tablet is awesome. But yes definitely over priced.
Please sell it in Japan!
Earned money
base model is unusable
I think you want to look at the review of the base model from MKBHD, it was some very harsh words. This video was good keep it up…
Lol just get a MBP non Touch Bar for 1299
Just get a galaxy note 7… 🥊🍿🥧🍦🍭🍪☕️🍵🤼♀️🛷🥌🤼♀️🤼♀️🌰🛷🍵🥌🥤🎣🍵🥋🎿🎿🌰🏋️♂️🏋️♂️🍯🥜🏋️♂️🍪🤼♀️🌰🤼♀️🥋🍵🥊🎣🍵
Insane how different this review is compared to the base version mkbhd tried out :O
Overpriced limited piece of garbage. Google should send me one to change my mind.
Google died with the Nexus 6P for me.
Now it copies everything Apple does, including the pricing but fails to justify it in any way.
Really should have stuck with the “Stock Android at a good price” strategy. The whole Pixel line has been a mistake thus far.
Nice video
yes it’s overpriced
plis share wallpaper, thank.

If you could install Windows on it too, would it be the best Windows tablet?
I was looking at buying this as I want a really nice quality Android tablet. What should I get?
I also need one that just looks nice and has great battery life to control my house automation and sit on my coffee table… I have no idea what to get.
I bought a Lenovo Tab 2 a year ago for it for $120 but it’s slow and the screen is low ppi.
I’m close to buying this just because, A, I need a Chromebook. B, I like the you only pay $33 a month with Google Finance. That’s how I bought my non-functioning Asus Chromebook. She was good to me. C, crappy paying job, so
I’m this close to getting it. My last tablet was the legendary Nexus 7 (good paying job then)
Sharing is caring
The samsung chromebook is UGLY. I’d pay to NOT have it
Aaaaand cancelled after less than a year.
That’s the kind of product support you can trust from Google.
I paid $1500 to use MS surface go for 13 months. It died one month out of warranty. I’ll try the pixel slate i7 for now.
Just paid 700 for the i5 model plus keyboard.
So at half price it’s great?!
Excellent review
Price just dropped to $899 for this version which i think is a awesome value.
After 1 year the i7 version cost $900 now, it’s still expensive and not worth it. Google is crazy with all their prices including phones
I would get the one for $1600 but only if it ran windows 10 and had a 1tb hard-drive with a mobile GeForce graphics card with at least 1660 built in
the max varient 16gb and i7 is for only 899
