The iPad Pro Is Bending. I’m Not Happy.

I would pre­fer dura­bil­i­ty and being able to have it for a long time over thinness.

Per­son­al­ly I can’t believe that such cheap made shit gets sold and bought it’s a dumb bend non­sense that gets normalized

I liked this stu­dio bet­ter than the new one.

My shit a lit­tle bent

Noth­ing bends on its own.… The rea­son some­thing bends is because the own­er clear­ly can’t look after the device.

3 years lat­er my new ipad still bends with just a lit­tle force from my hands play­ing games

Got a new iPad Pro back in 2019. It was incred­i­bly expen­sive and the most I’d ever spent on a tablet. I treat­ed it like a new­born baby. Kept it in its case, had a screen pro­tec­tor and nev­er left it in a place where it could be acci­den­tal­ly dam­aged (like on a chair or in a bag). Just yes­ter­day the damn thing sud­den­ly turns off while I’m typ­ing in my notes. I thought it was a dead bat­tery and took it to the local repair shop. The first thing the man did was check for bends and, sur­prise, there was a slight bend on the top area, right above the cam­era. He said it was as if it had been sat on or dropped at an awk­ward angle. For the three years I’ve had it, it’s nev­er been dropped or sat on. Don’t know how the hell it hap­pened. The only time it was out of the case was when I clean it.

End­ed up hav­ing to pay over a grand for a new one because the repair­man said it would cost over £200 for a new screen (as they couldn’t get inside with­out ruin­ing it) and even then he couldn’t promise he’d be able to fix it. Tried con­tact­ing Apple but they were impos­si­ble to get in con­tact with. Just sent me a mes­sage telling me to bring it to the near­est Apple store… over 200 miles away. For over a grand, you’d think they’d make it far stronger than it is cur­rent­ly. I’ve bought a new case that makes the new one bulky as hell but at least it’ll keep the damn thing straight.

If I hadn’t of spent, in the 10 years of hav­ing Apple prod­ucts, over a grand in iTunes and the App Store, I would have just bought an Android tablet and nev­er looked back. Tbh, if it hap­pens again then I will. 

By the way, I still have an old iPad Air from 2013 that had been tak­en every­where with me for years. Got dropped a dozen times, sat on once, care­less­ly shoved in my back­packs and even thrown across a room. Only a few scratch­es around the edges. End­ed up giv­ing it to my mum when I got the iPad Pro and it’s still work­ing per­fect­ly in the same case I bought when I got it.

is there any­one with a slight­est of bend on iphone 12 and 13 (on the pow­er but­ton side). I have noticed it on too many 12s and 13s among my friends. It is too slight tbh does not even both­er me but it is there, out of the box.

I just got one right now and luck­i­ly it was not bent!

Why any­one did­n’t say about iPad bend­ing???

All of them have bend­ing prob­lem…
