4K is so 2017. Samsung’s combining size and resolution with this 98-inch Q900 QLED 8K TV, which it debuted at CES 2019. It’s not as big as the previously-revealed 216-inch MicroLED TV, but 8K makes all the difference. Samsung has yet to announce a price nor a launch date for the TV, but the earlier 85-inch Q900 went for a jaw-dropping $15,000.

Can’t wait for this thing to upscale the images I took with my toaster!
can our eyes see in 8K?
Well that’s another product that’s out of my reach 😢
Most CGI in movies is rendered in 2k. So this Samsung 8k Processor will outperform these render farms most movie studios use? Hands down I think Intel and AMD can pack their bags.
Applause for the marketing department at Samsung.
Instead of using the most advanced knowledge of the 21st Century go to space and push a space infrastructure we are making Smart TVs so people can shove popcorn in their mouth, winning right ? 😳
Good
I can’t remember what I was told from a phone company but there is no such thing as 4k screens or 8k due to something about the screen dimensions and the things that produce the image meaning 4k and 8k isn’t it’s more or less 1080 X 2 I think if it’s 4k idnk there’s also something about it online I’m to tired lol
So when’s the 16k TV coming out?
A 2019 8K TV will be obsolete by the time 8K is the norm, newer versions of HDMI and HDCP will have been implemented, and better panel technology will exist. I have a 4K system, the upscaling is nice, but true 4K content is not plentiful.….….….
Holy fk
Glad it’s not some OLED garbage. LCD for now till microLED arrives.
Please nobody can afford it and there isn’t even 8K content what a waste of tech.
Nope pass anytime on this qled whatever thing. Its better to wait on micro led or buy used oled for now.
We purchased 2 pcs 82″ same model and both of them got damaged for less than 2 months. Please Samsung focus on ur hardware also not only software!!!
Do they even know how big a jump from 4 to 8k in bandwidth this is as well as the limitation on human vision. High bitrate 1080p on a native screen is good enough for most video. I cant wait for the sheep to buy one of these 8k tv’s get it home and watch 1080p broadcast on an 8k native screen and say how great it looks.
What a constipated presentation.
SCAM starts with anything with the word quantum.
also “quantum processor 8k” doesn’t run on an actual quantum chip.
8k means 4k is cheaper. Stop complaining.
Samsung = 💩
CES 2019 shows LG, Samsung, Sony, and Vizio huge 8K TVs that display perfect pictures to wow the audiences. This makes 4K TVs old very soon. OUT with remote controls are old while Amazon Alexa, Google Echo, Apple HomePod with voice control AI are IN for new 8K TVs. Should we buy new smartphones that can record 8K HDR videos to watch on huge 8K TVs?
It already looks big over there just waith untill really hits the livingroom crazy
8K WOW 😮. I’m just getting used to 4K and now 8K! I guess i just got to catch up ! Lol
We don’t need 8K TVs, we need the cable companies to deliver 4K content first and I’m just fine with 4K. I see no reason to have a 8K set. This is simply greed. These companies want you to spend 3grand on a TV smh
Cue the naysayers. “We don’t need no stinking 8K!”
I keep trying to explain to people that the resolution of the human eye is only about 4000x4000… in other words, if the entire screen is within your field of view, you can’t tell 4K from 8K. Nevertheless, a 98-inch TV would be fun!
didn’t we already see 8k at ces like 3 years ago? what’s new here?
BUZZWORDS
Still doesn’t beat real life resolution
Fuk all yall , I want a 8k tv
98inches give me give me
Yall think Rent a Center will have some of these? 😂
Nah, 8k is too pixel for me, I’m waiting for 80k.
Is he wearing white tennis shoes?
I have the 7 series … Samsung 4k it’s enough for me
QLED is actually a revamp of LCD and Samsung’s way of cleverly marketing an alternative which is no to match OLED.
I’m fine with this. With 8k on the block, 4k will be much cheaper!
How do they have so many sizes aviaalble already when these tv’s are going to very niche for at least 3 more years? I wouldsay 4 to 5 actually.. huge waste of money now to pay a premium price unless you have so much money that you don’t know what to do with, and you’re a huge pc gamer wanting to get true 8k graphics… even then… it would be way better to wait for an 8k mico led instead.
We need both 8K TVs and 8K smartphones for us to create our own 8K contents to watch.
The tv is only 30hz… Even if you’re worth 5 million dollars and do nothing but play games and watch movies for entertainment… it’s still much better until they at least come out with an 8k 60hz version… they must make them in extremely limited quantities
Can SCART connector still delive 8K? Or do I need to upgrade?
12K in 2021.
you’d have to be a dunce to pay for this at first release prices… unless you are a billionaire. Not a millionaire that would be stupid… a billionaire…
