We build them we destroy them wtf man
There needs to be a resistance, if I see these cars next to me I’ll
Do everything I can to get away from them. They are not safe and need to be run off the road and outlawed. I can’t blame these people those things shouldn’t be outside of testing facilities. I’d swerve a little to get rid of one near me by making its censors trip so it’ll pull off the road. I don’t want it near me or even sharing the same street I’m on.
I don’t mind, I hate google,
Adults are doing this
The immaturity is ridiculous
If you don’t like it, the stay away from it
Cop pulls over self serving car also screw robots takeing jobs
Still, over 99% of vehicle accidents are because of a human behind the wheel.
Id love one of these cars when driving at night IN CASE I ever fell asleep at the wheel. But I don’t think it needs to be relied upon for day to day driving. I think it has potential to the safest form of transport though. If all cars had this feature, at the very LEAST they would pick each other up and never crash again.
Pedestrians, animals etc would be a concern still.
people run people over cause of mistakes
self-driving cars run people over cause of mistakes
people commit way more mistakes than self-driving cars
LETS ATTACK THE CARS
I don’t really mind that 1.25m people die every year from auto accidents. There is something called natural selection. Most people should not drive. Take an uber if your one of those. Say no to automation.
Good! If I ever see one of those things I too will attack and destroy it. Fuck technology. It’s destroying the world.
Damn boomers
The fear of the unknown.
People are so dumb.
I think people wanted better technology to improve people’s lives, not to replace peoples lives.
There will always be some apes standing in the way of progress.
Bullshit, I’m not interested in their lame excuses, if you don’t think the tech is safe, then damaging it while it moves around your neighborhood is the most dipshit reaction you could have. Throwing rocks into the car as it rolls by doesn’t make it safer for your neighbor down the street, quite the opposite. I’ll give you the real reason, it’s the same one for why they attack RC cars. They think they can get away with it. That’s how people behave when they think they can get away with vandalism. That’s right folks, these people are pieces of shit that will key your car if they get half a chance to do so. Just because yours is nicer than what they have, or because you have the same car their X does. The rest of their time is spent trying to pretend they are normal, good, people (the good part is key btw). NEVER underestimate how screwed up other humans can be in the head.
Late to the comment section, but I felt it needs to be said. This isn’t something that should be just placed on a programming viewpoint. If you think about it, this is a real life scenario that could happen to real people in real time. How do you react to such a situation if you literally have one of two options?
Serve to avoid hitting the person or creature in front of you but severely hurting or even killing you or your passengers. Or both. Or hit the person/creature and still have to live with having hurt/killed someone if you live through the accident.
That’s why it shouldn’t just be a programming question. It’s a question for the conscience of the human mind.
I love what you guys do. I feel like this is something I would have done with my friend search when I was a believer. I’m not really into the Christian Community anymore but there are some artists that I still listen to to this day even though I don’t have a belief of God anymore. I still listen to Lecrae and Social Club Misfits and pretty much anyone who has bars. Keep up the great work. I hope you guys never changed the formula. If it ain’t broken, don’t fix it
People are assholes. That’ll answer your question as to why people do these kind of things. People are just plain out assholes
I think we don’t need AI it should be discontinued because many people are losing jobs
We can have defective products
But we don want anything that taking over humanity
your all wrong… ALL wrong! these companies are hiding secrets.
I don’t have anything against driverless cars and would never feel the need to attack one, and I love technology, but sorry I can think of a thousand reasons why I want a person operating any car I’m in. Here’s a few. The car in front of you stalls just as your crossing railroad tracks. The cross arms come down indicating a train is coming, but your still on the track. Does a driverless car understand the situation? Does it know to get you off the track even if it means pushing the car in front of you out of the way? What about a bridge collapse? Does the driverless car recognize when the road is gone and stop or does it just keep going? Does it understand not to drive through high water? Does it know how to handle icy conditions? Does it recognize a tornado coming and know how to escape? What about an angry mob of protestors up a head who are pulling people out of cars and beating them half to death? Does it know to do whatever it needs to do to escape this mob? What about an out of control car racing towards an intersection? Does it know to stop even though it has the right of way? What if armed men jump out of the car in front and run up and starts beating on the window? Will the car know to try and escape to safety or just sit there? There are so many situations that come up which require quick intelligent reactions that I don’t believe a computer is capable of handling. Does in know not to take a route through a raging forest fire? Does it recognize things like a rock or land slide heading towards the road you are about to pass? Things that a person would know to stop for. Auto pilot is a great thing for planes which have none of these issues. But I think its a really bad idea in cars. I’ll never get in one.
