Starting in January 1920, the United States became a dry country. Prohibition banned the manufacture and sale of alcohol in an attempt to civilize unruly Americans (and some other reasons). The experiment had many unintended consequences, but most dangerously, it fostered the rise of organized crime and the American Mafia. #HistoryChannel

Alcohol has around for thousand of years before America declared independence so there’s no way Wayne Wheeler or the WTCU can banned alcohol, a complete waste of time for them.

just another example of how rich liberals think that taking away freedoms from Americans will make things more peaceful, all they ever do is make things worse and crime worse and of course its all just to make the Government Elite and their billionaire backers more richer.…while the everyday people have their rights taken away and are told its illegal to do the same thing the rich are doing.……there are millions of other things like this the everyday people pay taxes on that its ok for the elite rich to make or sell but not the everyday person.…because its all about the rich getting richer

It wasn’t about making “America” more peaceful; prohibition was a movement led by women — many of whom grew up in abusive households or now had abusive husbands — who wanted to remove alcohol from their husbands and make their households more peaceful. This is a major difference. Not surprisingly, this was of no concern to politicians and 100 years laters Domestic Violence is still of little concern to politicians.

Another factor that isn’t usually taken into consideration in the rise of the Mafia in 1920’s America was the rise of the Facists in Italy. The Facists exterminated the Mafia in Italy.

The American Mafia consisted of those of the Dutch Race, although they came mostly out of Italy. Also true for mafioso recognized as Irish. The Three Urwetu, forbidden Races were English, and Dutch and Finnish who came out from them. Dutch was Attila The Hun, in history; Vlad The Impaler, and the Pirates of history… The “bad” or marauder Vikings were Finnish, as also the puveyors of the Communist Revolution, Stalin, Lenin and Marx; Alaric the ancient marauder, too, Finnish…
