Astronaut trainer Beth Moses becomes Virgin Galactic’s first passenger to fly to the edge of space. Also, we check out a new autonomous underwater drone named Orpheus, which was made to explore the deepest parts of Earth’s oceans. Lastly, new research suggests that the gene-edited CRISPR babies born late last year might have changes in their cognition from the controversial procedure.

I play Fortnite maybe I could get into space
Just one request, please install a great camera on that Orpheus.
Angry Flat Earthers incoming
I wonder if the two passengers were able to some flips or other things while they were weightless?
Huba khaba ha bakaba science again
My main concern with gene editing would be not only unintended consequences to the subjects (which is also a real worry) but rather when they get older and decide they want kids. What happens to the next generation, the generation after that or further down the line? Scary stuff to be tampering with.
I like the thought but it seems way too early to be experimenting that way.
.…Only chinese people have a soul dark enough to mess with people’s genes…
Why they named it virgin??
It would be nice if you mentioned in what country/government that CRISPR experiment was sanctioned, given that I believe it wouldn’t be allowed here in the US.
(Note: neither the scientist’s name, appearance, nor even his language imply much about where he performed the mentioned operation.)
What???
Intro music is sick
Booooooo! It’s not a consumer passenger!
Space Virgins
That damn fool could’ve unleashed genetic changes that destroy humanity…or save it.
Another good episode. Look forward to the next
Jon luc Watch out!, warp 5 , next step, Make it so.
I see a parallel between the spliced gene twins and the increased level of intelligence in Roy Batty, the Nexus 6 from the Tyrell Corp. I don’t want to live in a world where medical science comes from the notebooks of Josef Mengele.
It’s always someone connected to NASA…why don’t they try taking up Jeran or Rob Skiba, or anyone they can’t buy off? It will never happen folks.
1:43 hey it’s Lara Croft
Can we get some pics from inside??
