With a new 50-inch 3:2 display, integrated speakers, and tiny 15.5 millimeters bezels, the Surface Hub 2S is a beautifully designed PC on wheels. Hub 2S is meant to live in your workspace and runs Windows 10 Team with support for apps like Word, Whiteboard, Skype and Microsoft Teams. The company plans to release a Surface Hub 2X cartridge next year that will have more powerful hardware to enable a lot more interesting software experiences like screen rotation and tiling multiple Hub2 devices side by side. Tom Warren visits Microsoft for a hands-on preview of the new Hub 2S which ships this June starting at $8,999.

#Microsoft #Surface #Hub #handson #wheels
Microsoft transformed itself as an older brother company in software but to a younger sibling learning how to walk for the first time in world of hardware design with pleasing eye catching designs that meet the consumers needs.
Microsoft has to think of what the consumers need than what they want; and that way and this design philosophy can be implemented for consumers to easily and freely use.
Soon Microsoft has to understand the value of software and make them free for all use.
Sick of this mythical WCOS bs. Only rumours, promises etc. for like 3+ years already. I am keep hearing about these great super duper important experiences that 2X will bring with this mythical WCOS yet I only hear about this rotation from all journalist. Is this the killer feature of WCOS? A FANCY SCREEN ROTATION? As normal rotation like mobile phones is somehow not functional… Once again I am convinced Microsoft as a company and all its reporters are a complete joke.
lmao. A $1400 battery and a $1449 stand?
this is a monitor
I love how innovative Microsoft is becoming.
I’ll take “top things I’ll buy if I’m rich” for 1000, Alex.
Expecting a knock off from china pretty soon.
It should be borderless
*pen not included
1 fully tricked out Surface Hub 2’s or 12 MacPro Stands…
A stand I don’t mind buying.
The audio for this video sounds really bad. 🙁
Imagine the price if Apple sold this
Building one today for my office.…can’t wait to see it in action…will report with comments of how it feels looks and handles with our use case
I’ma draw stickman on that.
good documentation ……..
I’d rather use 55 inch TV and screen mirror through surface laptop
Meanwhile iphone makes a mac pro for 14k
10 years later I’ll buy this.. maybe
I can’t even afford to watch this!
At least the stand is better than macpro xdr display’s stand
In near furture I’ll buy one for sure!
12K is absurd, esp. 1500 for the stand? lol. This is a 5K setup at most. Cut the price in half and companies would buy. I mean, the damn Epson Whiteboard with basically the same functionality with less of a display is like 1200.
How much is the screen protector and the UAG case tho? Does it have max specs for heavy gaming and heavy applications? 8k would be ideal resolution.
Welll.….. if nobody is going to say anythinh then I will.…
1,4k for a stand?!?!?!?!??!!!!
I kinda wish Microsoft would just focus on hardware instead of being all over the place, they are making brilliant hardware, it would be great If they make proper monitors
This is a handy product
A white board will do the trick.
that camera tho
- for 20k most companies trying to look cool will buy it
- screen brightness is very important and it looks they top out at 400 cd/m ?
- software meeting features would be key, hardware not as much
- actually should have just used one of their surface books to power this rather than making another proprietary “aesthetic” device (so many companies have tried this route and failed with such products over the years, the volume is just not there to justify product longevity)
In our company we had so many of these devices, most people don’t use it or after 5 years, it becomes obsolete and no-longer supported, then parts get hard to find.
Suggestion: Use a large screen. mount on t‑extrusion profile, get a notebook with secondary UPS style battery for screen. Run the OneNote. Should be able to wrap up everything under 8K and it will be replaceable/upgradable.
Can it work as a regular TV?
Buy this, install android emulator, heaven 😂
It is the right time for microsoft to beat Apple with real good innovation , apple is lacking Innovation! real innovation real Apple !
Yeah, but apples sells dolly wheels like 500 bucks or a monitor stand for 900. Microsoft has a lot of room to grow to in their prices if you want to compete with Apple on “value”
a touchscreen computer what else you got ?
Apple stand: $999
Microsoft: Hold my beer 🍺
I do not understand the pricing, i think they could have sold a ton of these. My firm considered these for all meeting rooms but went with a custom solution with a blend of 3 companies
Microsoft?
More like Microhard.
😍
This is best for Minesweeper
They need a more intuitive OS like apples iPad OS.
nice concept. i would like to know about broadcast possibilities with it.
Can we install linux on it? :v
I chose vibe broad that delivers most of the features with fraction of the cost.
You just made a masive tablet not revolushenery but cool
I Like your explaction of product
I don’t Know you are a native English Speraker or NOT, But I used subtitles for the very first time coz of you !. I am giving you a piece of adviced that you should work on it.!!! (how to pronunciat words correctly )
What’s the refresh rate?
i am not used to something such as big as this, so i bought it to give it a go. it’s INCREDIBLY awkward to use at first but you get the hang of it 😀
Does anyone know if you can adjust the height of the stand? I want to lower this for my child.
