As much as I love this season. This show certainly can’t have a happy ending because we all know what happens to the Templars in the end.
Is it just me or Gawain look and sound like Maximums from Gladiator?
When does it come on? I always look for this show, but never see it.
The series is called knightfall, and the order of St. John were also knights. After the Templars were starting to get arrested burned at stake by king Philip IV, some of them escaped France and spread throughout Europe. Some of them went to Malta and joined the order of St. John, they can continue the season about the knights hospitallers, that would be epic!!
Btw… the final music is in “Portuguese”, music is called “O Menino” from Madredeus.
Sir Gawain, Knight of the Templar Order, more powerful and exceptionally skilled than the rest of his fellow knights, hero of the holy wars and hardened battle commander, slowly turns to evil as he sees his closest friends betray him, and the Templar Order distrust him. With his fall, he begins to hunt down his fellow knights, exterminating the templars and all they stood for and becomes severely crippled in the process. Becomes the enforcer of an evil empire led by a power hungry madman, continues to kill any templars left and destroys their relics and history. So far gone he has, only to be pulled back to the light by the mere innocence of a child. Sound familiar?
