The Pixel 3A or the OnePlus 7 Pro – which phone has a better camera? OnePlus has always given us a high spec experience without the flagship price, but the camera always fell short. Google’s Pixel phones started off expensive with amazing camera software, and are now trickling that technology down to less expensive models. So who does it better?

Hey friends! For this review, we shot all the photos as the devices intended with zero editing, in device or out. You can edit these photos on device to change the amount of blur, white balance issues, and contrast but this video isn’t about my editing skills. Be well, friends! – Becca
Installing gcam on op phones substantially improves picture quality though, so much so they pics looks almost like pixel pics.
This review is so good
More Becca reviews! What an instantly likeable presenter. This review feels so “The Verge”.
Me watching on 240p everything looks the same.
very good review! enjoyed watching the video. i think pixel does an incredible job but One Plus has worked on its camera too. the photos were similar.
Pls talk sense. Has one plus sponsored it?
Typing the comment from a Pixel 3a XL. Switched to this phone from a Samsung Galaxy S9. Camera and battery life are top notch. Also, the phone is super fast when it comes to everyday usage. For gaming, it might be a bit slower but I don’t do it much. I got an open-box version for $249 from eBay. For that price, nothing comes closer !!
Honestly, the pixel 3a is pointless apart from the camera. 1 year down, the software will start getting sluggish. What’s the point of having a great camera with slow software. Whereas install GCam on oneplus and get the best of both worlds.
Everyone is talking about Pixel
You can literally adjust the bokeh on pixel on post editing
Oneplus with GCAM. Best of both worlds!
I have the oneplus 7 pro and the pixel 3 XL. And I can say that the pixel camera is head and shoulders above anything. With gcam or anything else
I have the 3a XL and enjoy it. It’s definitely a good purchase. I rarely print photos but I do sometimes including directly from Google. This is a great phone on Google Fi.
she didn’t even compare it to the 48mp on the oneplus, she only used the standard 12mp

4:37 this whole scene was weird as f**k
why didn’t u do the video test? I was waiting for this for the whole bloody time. Everybuddy knows both the brands don’t compromise with photos!
OnePlus is phone camera but pixel is camera 📸 phone father is father
Love From India ❤️
Are you women oe a young boy?!?!!!
Pixel
Wasted The Verge’s budget on 200 printed photos, only shows 4 of them in the video.
Good thing about OnePlus is.. you can just put GCam and take great pictures with all three lenses. Now that pixel 6 has arrived.. i have put that GCam mod and forget pixel 3a.. 7 pro matches pixel 6 pro
Becca please make again this video when pixel 6a official release, with comparison with iphone Se 2022, i really can’t wait for that moment
I’m writing this comment on 07.03.2023 (7th of MARCH…) and the Pixel 3A did not hold up in the speed department at all. The shoot button occasionally stops working after 2–3 shots because the phone is still processing the first photos and does not let me take more. The lagginess of the pixel also makes it so that I can no longer use Battery Saver mode without the phone lagging insanely hard during daily use so as a result battery life has suffered A LOT too. I came from a OnePlus 5 because I couldn’t handle that horrible camera anymore but even the day I switched the OP5 was much faster than the P3A. Going with a non‑A pixel does help with speed but then your battery life suffers again because of the faster chip. I hate that I have to make these sacrifices every time.
Pixel: Great camera, laggy system and poor battery life
OnePlus: Fast, good battery life and a not so great camera
It seems this will always hold true as Google continues to skimp on the CPU/GPU components.
