I can testify to that fact
I still have apple watch series 2 but it is just sitting on my desk with zero battery,i am still very fit because i excercise daily and dance as well
I’m still proud of the email I got from fitbit one day, when they congratulated me for climbing 185 flights of stairs one day. They said I achieved more stairs that day than anyone else in the world.
It’s a total coincidence that I left my fitbit attached to my trousers when they went into the washing machine and then the dryer.
If you want to lose weight quicker, you need to buy multiple fitness trackers. Buy four trackers and lose weight four times as fast.
I appreciate Cnet, but this was a pointless video.
Because cico is bullshit
Eat Less, Move More. Works every time. Count your macros using MyFitnessPal and log every bite. Down 156 pounds on this method!
These watches add more stress to daily life…stop counting calories…just eat healthy and exercise…if u eat high carb lower your fat and if u eat high fat lower your carb drastically and moderate protein(keto)
How do I gain weight?
You can have everything else but if you don’t have discipline you’re not gonna make it.
good video plus I find these trackers more entertainment than coaching. MY attitude and drive needs to change for me to get better results.
What went wrong. Put down the fork and do something. Drink water any other drink is bound to be full of sugar and unnecessary fat. Eat your calories don’t drink them.
Results depend on your activity
Calibrate your tracker if possible
Suggestions are optional. Do something else if needed to meet your goal.
Trackers are just trackers. You need setup a goal and understand what is is needed to achieve that goal. Nutrition and exercise not included. 🙂
If you are relying this much on your fitness tracker, you are doing it all wrong if your trying to loose weight. Let me simply put it this way, track your darn macros. Set what you want to loose per week, and being consistent along with having dedication goes a long way. Eat foods that fit in with your macros and your set calories per day. And having a good workout routine for the week with consistency will definitely help you out. RN I’m in. A calorie deficit, I’m eating 2000 calories a day. My macros are 150g of protein, 250g of carbs, and 44g of fat’s. There is a lot more involved, how ever that’s why you ask for advice from a nutritionist or a fitness trainer. In all, it’s all about you and getting yourself motivated. You can do it. And having a fitness tracker is fun too. But it can’t do it all for you.
Maybe someone should’ve told Scott to put the effort in… then maybe he would’ve seen results…
Gained 12 lbs? Stop eating crap and blaming the watch
are you the voice of zero in gta san andreas?
I lie using my Fitbit charge 2 to track my 2 mile run for PT tests. That’s it. It’s nice because it tells me distance and speed. With this knowledge I was able to adjust pace from 15 minutes 2 mile to a 12 minute 2 mile time.
Exercise has never been an effective way to lose weight. Eating less is the most effective way.
Make it shock you like in transformer the dark side of the moon 🌕 🤣🤣😂🤣😅🤣🤣
It’s about WHAT YOU EAT! 80% diet 20% fitness
Monitor what you eat try to eat 2000 — 2200 calories
Move more than 12000 steps a day
More protein less fat less sugar 😀
These are all user issues, not device issues. The important part about these trackers, is that you have a good baseline for your activity. Then you know what you need to do to improve on your activity.
Hey, Scott i lost 11 lbs using my series 4 apple watch. you big loser.
Who told this guy mid-sentence thumbnails are a good idea?
Just smile and take a normal picture so you don’t look dumb
PS. Brian Tong does it better ❤️
Where did you get that shirt?
What watch are you wearing?
#1: These trackers make you think basic tasks that you should be doing anyway like standing and walking equate to actual exercise. Do some actual cardio and weight lifting if you want to get in shape people. It takes some effort.
Self discipline and your own motivation are needed for anything like this to work, the trackers just provide tooling to monitor progress.
They are named after exactly what they do- they track your fitness, not DO your fitness. They’re not called fat burners or weight losers. Fitness trackers equal fitness tracking. That’s all. They are not magic wands.
I’m the opposite I want to gain weight
Just because u wear a fancy watch doesn’t mean your burning calories people😂
Perhaps he should’ve paired my fitnesspal or a food diary with the tracker?
Gaining 12lbs means he ate 42000 more calories than he burned. This piece should’ve focused on how people may be a little too eager to reward themselves for closing rings and using that as justification for overconsumption.
I feel that the Apple Watch has allowed me to maintain my weight (120 lbs ~) for the last three years because of my daily goals of a minimum of 1100 calories. The reminders and achievements allows me to go for long runs and hit up the gym. Without motivation it’s very easy to blame the watch or fitness tracker you’re wearing. As the reviewer mentioned it’s very easy to swipe the notification. Remember that you have to put the effort of you want to have that healthy lifestyle 🙂
This whole video is bs…its not the app…its u.
Weight loss isn’t the best method for measuring health progress. If Scott burned fat and increased muscle tone (and possibly mass). He would gain weight. Muscle weighs more than fat.
That said, if playing with fitness gadgets gets you thinking about exercising when you normally wouldn’t, go for it.… Just don’t stop there.
Wait you mean buying a watch won’t make me lose weight?!.
Wait so even if I buy a watch, to lose weight I still need to burn more calories than I eat? I hate life 😉
Well obviously, if you don’t put an effort it’s pointless
Sadly, many people don’t understand how to use a fitness tracker properly in order to lose weight and get in shape.
Lost 5kgs using samsung weight management.
TOTAL RUBISH — its all about COMMITMENT and DETERMINATION. Fitness trackers are more about pushing themselves during the workout and physical activities not taking it as a fitness instructor. You need to watch your own diet (portion size and kind of food intake).
