“This is Mission Control, Houston.” From this legendary room, America conducted some of its most amazing space missions. This video montage captures the significance of the Historic Mission Control Center at the NASA Johnson Space Center, which has undergone a massive restoration to bring the room back to life as it appeared during the Apollo era. Historians and technicians have made every effort to ensure historical accuracy and to preserve this room for future generations. As NASA looks to send humans deeper into space than ever before with the Artemis Program, Historic Mission Control will serve as a reminder that anything is possible.

*Wonderful* to see the old Mission Control Center restored as it was!
Cheers from New Zealand!
Neil Armstrong and Yuri Gagarin proud of you
Thank you to the NASA Historians (and all involved) for this video!!!!
I think you have to make a bullets with a camera and shoot it in space and you will know how long the bullets can go.
Flatearthers, eat your heart out
Great little video!
Does the astronauts and cosmonauts still do ham calls?
NEXT STOP : MARS
❤️😎
Happy birthday Apollo ❤️!
Will the public be able to access the room? (pity there no women on the front line in that video)
I remember so well seeing pictures from mission control on our B&W TV when I was 13. It’s great to see the restoration. Only pity is that the flat screens don’t look quite right.
The fact where celebrating this 50 years later as one of the greatest space adventures of humanity while not having embarked on a greater new adventure is quite tragic.
Cool! I hope it is made into a museum / tour thing! I recall talking with Roger Crippen and John Young in March of ’81 in the front left between the left two displays and the door when a relative of my step-Grandmother, who was a contractor there, arranged a special tour for me while on a road trip with my grandfather to Houston. I’ll never forget meeting them there a couple of weeks before their first test flight of the Shuttle! I recall Mr Crippen telling me when I asked why his lapel pin wasn’t gold like Mr Young’s. He got the gold one a few weeks later 😉

Na real… O HOMEM NÃO FOI A LUA
are these old controls hack proof?
I was not born to fully appreciate our adventures to the moon. But I am lucky enough to have been able to walk around the Johnson Space Center when tours were self directed, had tons of walking to each and every building, and actually got to sit and eat in the same commissary that astronauts used before security had to be changed.
What an honor to all of those involved.
Fortunate enough to have watched it all unfold as an 11 year old & never can get enough of it, brings back such wonderful memories.
Thx to NASA & the entire Apollo team, lovin every minute of this historic anniversary.
I have been in mission control room at Kennedy space centre
FINITELA!
i love those drinks on that sensitive equipment during this dangerous mission 😀
The beginning sounds like Kraftwerk.
Marvelous NASA! Great initiative to restore history! Happy 50th Apollo 11😍🚀
waw!
Top👍
And in that room sat the best and the brightest of their disciplines. Each a Neil Armstrong in their own right. It took every one of them to make it happen.
This video is amazing 🇺🇸
I love NASA
put those beasts back into service they re more reliable than the computers we have today
Too bad this did not highlight the 5 IBM main frame computers in operation at the time! I was hired on as the Computer Operations Mgr shortly after the Challenger accident. My first assisnment was to manage the new IBM 4341 computer designated as Meterorlogica Interactive Display System. Thus beefing up weather monitoring conditions! Bob McFadden.
That is the ultimate Retro Computing Restoration!
im begging my whole life to see that Simulation Control Room
I hope you didn’t forget about the fifty years contract in controling a super satleight, made for you people. It’s main mission is to keep and eye on the blind spot of the dark side of the moon and big space rocks. It will send down it’s design to you, from the satelight itself, when the time comes. Just wanted to make sure you have control of this super satlelight made for you in 1977*. If not check your files and enjoy !
Support needed from bat .…. ??? We r bored playing air destroyer lol
These humans are the reason for the progress of this civilization
