What vacation would you take this on?
My wife and kids bought me one for Christmas. The gimble works works very well and I was happy using it to record a bunch of videos over Christmas and New Year. But hit a snag when it came time to download the videos for editing in iMovie. The DJI app — Mimo — records videos in MP4 format. This downloaded fine into my iMac using Adobe Bridge. The file played fine when previewed using Apple QuickTime Player. But when the MP4 files were imported into iMovie for editing, the video had no sound. Communicating with DJI help desk produced no solution. The only way I could use the files in iMovie was to convert them to MOV format using Apple QuickTime. Not a practical solution for the long run. I’ll be returning my unit to the shop.
It already came with a indication sticker sticked on the phone holder in which direction the camera should be pointing, no need to draw on it
Excellent review and a really nice bubbly way of presenting
i love it
Great vid! Lookin to finally upgrade from my Smooth Q to the Osmo 3 but I think in wide angle iPhone11Pro Mac gumming it captures the arm extension on the rt correct?
No way to do a smooth or slow zoom. Deal breaker.
Nice … 👍👍
My NEXT phone gimbal is gonna be this one, Hopefully my cinematic videos and virtual walks Will get even better and more smooth 🙂
only one big issue but a major one.….….…dont work with Filmic Pro
I got one today for my birthday, and it actually has an arrow telling you which way the camera is supposed to go lol.
Good review, most of the other reviews are drawn out and 15 minutes long. not a huge fan of the verge sometimes but a huge fan of some of the reviews.
Not gonna lie before Becca started talking I thought she was a dude
You had the best review out of everyone else lol , Thanks!

Love your energy!
Watching this in 2020. I miss being outside.
Seen a lot of people say this is not very good with Android phones?
@The Verge …At 4:05 you say “if I owned this thing”, is it not good enough for you to buy for yourself? If not, what do you use? Thanks!
wow this is a great product!!!! One question that I have about it is how do you record longer videos with it and what should my settings be?

Is huwaei mate 20 pro is compatible with osmo mobile gimbal 3?
Nice presentation, just bought one and am looking forward to some bright weather to go out to play with it.
Good attempt but you didn’t mention if it is waterproof. Secondly you didn’t show how to set up the phone on this gimbal. This is attempt to desperately sell the product. This video has no pros and cons about the product 😢
