The Nintendo Switch Lite may not actually “switch,” but if you’re not concerned about having a home console it’s a great way to get access to the platform’s ridiculously good library of games. By the end of this video, you will know if the Switch Lite, or the original Switch, is right for you.

I bought the Switch lite because I have an Xbox One at home, and my brother has a 2ds Xl
I want to buy the switch lite but the thing is the joycon drift
Honestly they have made it super easy in the recent times to have two switches so ideally id suggest getting both but if not and u dont care too much about tv 100 percent get the lite its really nice and so much more pleaseant to play handheld. If u just gonna play on tv then dont get it. I have both which took me a while to save up for but it was very worth it!
Well I want the original Switch if I can find the damn thing, ill just buy it after Christmas 🎄 🙃 😅
How much did this guy smoke before filming this
I want to play fortnite on the go
1:a cheap console
2: portable
3:to be your first console (first switch)
4:buy the console If you never have one,or want a portable console.
You like playing racing games on the phone not worried with storage
I bought the switch lite because it’s cheaper and I’m always on the go
I will take any switch console I just want to play Pokemon and Animal Crossing and a switch lite I can Afford and when I have enough to get a switch I will prob sell it and get a switch btw I’m super inpatient so I can not wait to save up
Reasons to choose Switch Lite
- you only want to play portable and have no need to play it on TV (play while lying on the bed or bring it anywhere)
- you already have a console like (PS5, PS4, XBOX, etc)
- smaller and cheaper
- newest portable system
- you like the color better 😂
- you don’t have a TV
Reasons I bought a lite, I have a ps4 and Xbox 1 and 360 I just want a handheld
The lite is better to hold
My reason for wanting the lite? You save $100 that you can use for games and accessories
I traded in my regular v1 switch for the lite. I was always playing in handheld anyway and found the regular switch to be a bit on the heavy side when using it as a handheld. It would get uncomfortable after only an hour or so of playing. I bought a grip and it helped but the weight was still making it uncomfortable. I finally just said why not get the lite? I couldn’t be happier having the lite instead of the regular. It feels great in the hands which is perfect for me since mine are very small. The screen is smaller but still sufficient enough in size. The buttons feel better and the built in d pad is amazing. I got the turquoise color and I love it!
1. i dont have friends to play with
2. i want to play alone
3. i want a handheld to play with outside
already have a decent PC so switch lite is a go go!
I purchased a protective cover that has an inbuilt kick stand so Problem solved
The switch lite is a secondary console, it’s nice to have if you already have a more powerful gaming console at home. Playing single player games and ports on the lite is definitely nice. I have a PC but I just wanted to experience the nintendo library, so I bought a switch lite. Plus, it gives off big nostalgia vibes that the older handhelds provided when I was younger.

I get headaches looking at larger displays (such as TVs). I imagine the Joy-Cons jiggle a bit on the console, which would drive me mad. I don’t really play multiplayer, just game by myself, not even online.
The deal-breaker’s the lack of Switch games I’m interested in…
Me, laughing at the corner (thinking): *Nintendo Switch Lite…The iphone 6s of Game Consoles**
Seth Rogan??
i just buy Nintendo Switch and its coming this sunday
I am thinking about it so my kids don’t have to fight over the regular one anymore. With all the stuck at home stuff we’ve been dealing with, my son plays a lot with his friends virtually. So my daughter doesn’t get fair access to it. I think the switch lite is a great option for a second switch.
The lite is better when it comes to handheld mode, but you’ll need the original switch when you want to play with friends… I got the lite few days ago and I’m already sure that I’ll be getting the original 😐
Online sucks on the switch lite
I wish I had enough money for both. The switch lite would be my dedicated handheld system. And the switch would be for handheld with friends and for my tv
Reviewers aren’t keeping in mind that it’s not just $100 for the extra stuff like docking. You also have to buy the dock separately for $60, making it a $160 extra for actually switching.
incredible library? not.
Let’s be real. We all want switch lite just so we can play skyrim anywhere.
I have a switch already but I got a lite also, does that make sense
I bought the switch lite because I’m gonna use it as a portable console
Am not sure which one to buy the lite or the normal switch I had both before
I’m getting the coral (pink) Switch Lite for Christmas this year with two Pokemon games and this one Digimon game I found interesting. Can’t play until Christmas, but so far only one of the Pokemon games isn’t here yet. Arrives this week. I’m also getting the flip cover.
Something I’ve been wondering is how the save data works. Does it set up some data for each game upon the first save (for each game), how much space does a single save take up, etc. Can you clear this up for me? I just don’t want to be forced to delete my progress. Never had to with my New 2DS XL.
I’m not going for the online subscription seeing I’ve never cared for it. Paying Nintendo on top of your internet provider has never been my thing.
Ps5 waiting at home, just need something portable to kill time when i get it
Do they offer an upgraded battery for the switch light aftermarket maybe that’s the only issue that I am seeing with it I agree with everything else that you said in the video seems like the battery doesn’t last nearly as long
I bought the lite n prefer it over the regular. the reason why is. to me. after game cube, Nintendo went south with consoles. but they went North with hand helds. I know switch doesn’t have many apps. n having a Consol that does not currently have any apps taking up space on my tv outlets is an issue. not a big issue. but I have a PS4. with apps for watching movies. why would I want an extra Consol that can’t do that but has a few games i like. when I could just get a hand held and now I don’t have to switch source plug ins every time. Nintendo on the big screen is no more. I’ll hook up my n64 if I. have to. but that is it switch lite is the winner
I wanted a Nintendo switch lite but now I think I want the normal Nintendo switch.
I got the new blue one and haven’t touched my oled in weeks😭 it’s so much more comfortable and transport friendly which is dumb to say bc the switch is also portable
I just want it bc of the emulator
Ik this vid was 3 years ago but I remember asking my brother for a switch cause my birthday was around the corner and he asked what I wanted and I didn’t get it but then I went to hb and he sent me a text asking if I still wanted one and it was a image of the light and I took advantage of it and said yes my friend said its not like the switch where it can hook to the TV and stuff and I told him idc cause I was just glad to finally have a switch in some form
Everybody should only get the switch lite especially since it’s a lot cheaper and it’s a lot easier to take everywhere with u
Does this Switch Lite have a vibration (rumble) built in?!
All right!
