Amazon unveiled their first smart eyeglasses, the Echo Frames, at the company’s Seattle headquarters. Amazon is positioning the glasses as the ultimate take-Alexa-everywhere product, but it’s also trying to balance that pitch with privacy: there’s a button on the glasses to disable its microphones, and the Echo Frames lack any kind of camera.

I just wish people would quit saying the word “Alexa” when talking about Echo! It sets off my Alexa!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! every time.

99.9% of people in this comments who worry about being tapped have such importand information on their devices as pictures of their dog and what they had for lunch in their galleries, maybe some WT poetry in a text file, Alexa-to do list filled with everyday to-do’s, a recipe for tacos and an Alexa shopping list with ingredients for those tacos.
Next will be the Amazon hat.
So they can’t summon drones or let me analyze my surroundings?
Amazon needs to make a smartphone.
