Microsoft unveiled two Surface Pro devices this year. The Surface Pro 7, a successor to the regular Surface Pro line, and the new Surface Pro X. It looks a lot like the Surface Pro 7 from a distance, but it has a bigger 13-inch display inside a 12-inch chassis that’s thinner and lighter than the Surface Pro we’re used to. It also has a new ARM-based Surface SQ1 processor inside, a chip that has been co-engineered between Microsoft and Qualcomm.

With the removable SSD, I assume windows is on there so I can’t just swap out the SSD for a different one if the first is full?
My own personal recommends would be the surface pro x or 6 — NOT THE 7. So far I’ve had millions of problems to the point where I’ve sent for device service and repair on Microsoft and been given a replacement. I’ve not done that 3 times and each one has had problems. Finally I’ve given up and my warranty is running out and my final replacement has problems too and with this lockdown I’m not even sure if they’ll extend my warranty. Other than all of this it’s great. But I spend £900 on this and would not expect to have so many problems with it.
Anytime I watch s surface pro video, I feel depressed that am stuck with a surface RT. I need free counseling sessions and a care package from Microsoft.
We need to see a vast improvement in SP7. Aside from internal CPU/RAM updates (and Pro X), Microsoft has been slacking since Pro 5.
What about solid works?
Hi I have purchased Pro X but its display is very Bad. I am getting lots of eye pain and watering in eye while using this laptop. I have given lots of complain to Microsoft service center but they did not replace and service. Services is also very bad. Now I have file suit in consumer court for recovery of damage.
Sam Tarly reviews tech now?
Entering my first year of college this year and was looking for a laptop. Didn’t know they were so damn expensive, I think I’ll get the pro 7 just to save a couple bucks. Sure the bigger screen the better so maybe when I’m older and have a job I’ll get it but as for now as long as it can connect to the Internet I’m good
My surface pro 4 from 2016? I still running like a champ and I have the core i5 and running Ableton Live DAW.
Is support CAD application?
He was watching the Boston dynamics robot dog named “Spot” on the surface pro X where Marques Brownlee recently reviewed on his Dope tech playlist.😎
Can the surface pro x keyboard use on surface pro 7?
4:55 ‘just…obviously…better battery life, perhaps?’ really informative Verge, back to Linus Tech Tips I go.
If you’re a business user like myself, the X is completely useless. The mobile chip still is unsupported by a number of apps and will be until developers can work out how to support it. I would say we are still at least 6 months away, minimum before I would be confident of using this in an office environment
Surface Pro 7 is an excellent device, with online video classes we no longer need a room heater. It is very efficient getting as hot as a light bulb in less than an hour.
Hang on so if I’m choosing between pro X and pro 7 then? A bit of comparison would have been nice! I will ask the question again which after watching this video is not clear “Hang on so if I’m choosing between pro X and pro 7 then?”
MAYBE BETTER BATTERY LIFE, MAYBE. Great review maybe not.
I still like macbook pro
