iPadOS is finally here, which means it’s finally time to see if Apple has turned the iPad into a real computer — maybe. In this episode of Processor, Dieter Bohn looks at the top things you should do to get the most out of iPadOS.

What feature are you looking forward to in iPadOS?
Now I can tell that you too are a Philosophy student..
Apple need to create a gaming console
Down voting because of Dieter Bohn
Why are you playing games on your iPad lol
Quality is bad
How about showing your viewers how to do the things you were doing in the video instead of saying it’s complicated while doing those things and just moving things around?
I love videos like this, do more
Cool
“You’re welcome internet”
🙂
Woah i just tried the floating keyboard
1:57 Infinite Flight users: say sike right now
iPadOS also wrecked mobile device management suites by now identifying iPads as desktops rather as mobile devices. Still no solution from Microsoft or other vendors that i heard about.
“It’s ephemeral“
Sounds like a fancy way of saying you can’t set it up how you want it.
Amazing amazing video!
I’ve been away with work overseas and I’ve only used my computer to collaborate with colleagues, draft documents — connect back to work and get everything I need done. So, right — I’m no video editor or music computer, but the casts majority of us — we’re already good to go…
Damn, that Video had something to it. It felt kind of close. As if you really were talking to us. Authenticity at it’s best I guess?
Wait why isn’t he using ipad pro
Cool
iPad is a whole different platform now, as opposed to it was a decade ago when the original iPad was announced. It has its own nuances and gestures and learning curve and is altogether different from an iPhone or a Mac
Why do people always compare an iPad to a Computer? Apple design an iPad to be an iPad if you want a computer. If you want a computer just go buy a Macbook or an iMac. If Apple want the iPad to replace the computer then they would already put MacOS on the iPad.
I like the wallpaper. Is there any way to get it? Hahaha
Dieter “Look” Bohn
Don’t call it a computer. It can’t run a webservice in a docker container. The term computer is really generalized now.
In this video Dieter tells people to use their iPads… 🤷🏽♂️ You’d think this guy invented the iPad the way he rattles in about it. Insufferable.
So iPad is doing things other devices have been able to do but it does it not as good but it’s amazing cuz tons of people haven’t had it on their iPad LOL
This review was… part Buddhist philosophy x part rambling… gimme back my 8 minutes lost…
Your metaphors are over the top, man.
Lol so i pad os is just like android lol
Just the fact that people like this man are excited reviewing the iPad says it all. iPad Pro is my gaming device. NBA 2K mobile is rivaling the console graphics. This tablet has the best graphics in any arm powered device.
I was not understanding what happened to my iPad sound was so amazing sounding. Improvement of background sound, left & right I feel the depth
The video was great, you should do this more often
Goddamit! You are so smart! I’m an interface designer and I didn’t catch the time metaphor vs space metaphor on the mobile and desktop interface. It’s lovely!
😊
Keep at it man
You touched on something that I’ve noticed for a while in iOS in general, things don’t stay the way you want them to and they change without warning. I wouldn’t be so charitable in describing it as you did, for me it’s more like “permanent chaos”. With automatic app updates now you don’t know what changes will suddenly be made to your core apps. Even if you read all the fine print it won’t tell you everything until you try it, and then it’s too late. Pleasant surprise kind of changes are rare. One exception is iOS Mail’s recent return to four menu buttons at the bottom of the app instead of the stupid, consolidated two buttons that hid everything important when iOS 13 was launched. It’s a deeply unsettled way to live when you don’t know what change for change’s sake will suddenly be made, I have no doubt there’s a psychological consequence to these unexpected and mostly unwanted changes. For that reason Mac OS is a more sane experience, at least you can stave off the chaos for a little longer by foregoing certain major updates for a while.
My favorite apple arcade game is cricket through the ages. Alot of people say that world war3 is impossible but ive actually beaten it.
get off my screen doofus!
Is there any way to get that background as a wallpaper?
$60 a year sounds crazy until you see how many upgrades you’ve made on COD and other games with in app purchase. Plus i can share with 5 other family member at no additional cost.
This is the cope that Apple users live with lmao 6:30
Dieter Bohn is always so excited and hyped when Apple release anything, his Apple product reviews sound more like marketing rather than reviews, however any other manufacturer’s product is always reviewed with skepticism and times outright disdain. I think he doesn’t even realize his inherent bias.
Was going to buy the iPad Air 4 as my laptop. Have asked around and that paradox analogy is apt. Still buying it because it’ll make a hell of a runabout computer if it still can’t be the mothership.
“Nothing is permanent “
Ok got it its great. Don’t try too much to promote it!
Flexing your classical studies the house!!!
