The Motorola Razr flip phone is back, but now it’s an Android smartphone with a foldable display. The 2019 Razr keeps the same general form factor, but replaces the T‑9 keypad and small LCD with a 6.2‑inch, foldable plastic OLED panel and Android 9 Pie. It’ll cost $1,499 when it arrives in January of next year.

What was your first cell phone?
Now this I can call FOLding phone! The rest is a joke! 😍😍😍
I love my “smart” phone but I miss the convenience of a flip phone. Especially at work. Being able to slide my phone into my pocket and bend at the hip was a plus. Hopefully this idea last and the price will drop. Right now R&D cost are still a factor. Still, I’ll want to see how the screen holds up. I’m fairly rough on my phone.

Ultrawide phone?
Would have booked it immediately, had Moto given it modern processor and camera, and all other features of a modern top of the line android
The one thing I miss about old school flip phones is being open to flip it openly or slam it shut dramatically. What a satisfying gesture. I will not be paying $1500 for this but if this becomes more common and comes down in price and turns out to be the future of smart phones, count me in
waiting for this one!
pretty unique device, I just love the idea about goes to small cell phones once again…
Verizon has to sell its phones unlocked, so using it elsewhere shouldn’t be an issue.
Done with apple. Moved over to Google ecosystem. Loving it. Next purchase is a foldable phone. Hopefully Google has one in the works…
It’s actually very nice to see that Motorola, a company that has been around for so long and struggled so much recently to actually do something as remarkable as this. They know this won’t be a top seller, and I don’t think that’s even the point, they just wanted to show how they can still do something very good.
Have en battery is dead
i think i might just get the original motorola razr
WTH, “first cell phone”? The original Razr had to be at least my fifth or sixth cell phone. Wasn’t even my first Motorola.
Razr is an icon and I am soo happy too see that they made it the real Razr again 🥰
So “closing” a phone is a major “feature” now!
Yep definitely worth the $1100–1200 premium of a similar spec phone.. Lol
TOTALL
Ripp off in uk
Will cost you AROUND £3k
£100 quid a month contract
I got mine. Absolutely love it. It’s back! ♥️
I was in love with my Razr; this looks amazing‼️
I so want one.
Thank you for your honesty.
But I see Motorola YouTube… Long time no see Motorola… can’t buy Motorola…ok bye ❤️
Very costly
Cancil
Yes. The $1500 price tag is a little hard to swallow, but if you had the original you get get it. Watching on mine as I type this. Bet good old Marty Cooper never saw this one coming.
Stuff like this is really leaping over iPhone design — Apple needs to get their ** together and begin innovating again, even if it’s based on Samsung/Motorola work
🤮👉📲
I am interested by Motorola phone
Back in the day I love my flip phone but not for 1500 dollars
Picked one up for 500 on Amazon, waiting a year, staying one generation behind, I saved 1k! Can’t wait for it to arrive. I’ve been using a Samsung Galaxy 6 Edge. While it’s a fairly old phone, there haven’t been many decent smaller smartphones on the market besides the iPhone and I don’t do iPhones. My S6 Edge has performed like a champ until the last month or so, 5 years with no issues is incredible. I was tempted but refused to let it go because I knew something small was coming, that’s just the natural evolution of things, it’s a circle so we are going back to people not wanting a huge phone in their pockets. I have a work cell phone that huge so the thought of having another big phone is not exciting. Especially for men, who mostly carry stuff in our pockets. Women could have a Samsung Note sized phone and stuff it in their purses. It arrives in a couple of days right before the 4th of July so I’m gonna floss in front of my friends at the BBQ!!
The screen is difective which peels in just 2 months of use with air bubbles forming between the screen layers and becomes non responsive, don’t buy
Hey! Somebody put a napkin on your head
“The Razr was the first cell phone that people had”
Ok zoomer.
Best phone out!
So we are basically back to the flip phone. Lol.
