The future of coffee might not include the humble coffee bean. Atomo has developed what it calls molecular coffee: Derived from all-natural ingredients, it looks and smells just like a regular cup of coffee. But does it taste like the real deal?

Did anyone else notice that he first picked up the green one and then it magically switched to the pink one in the second shot.…Magic!
It’s unbelievable how myopic and short-sighted people can be. Those of you who don’t see the point in this and/or think it’s a waste of resources need to learn to see outside your tiny bubble.
But why ?
Hey CNET
Just no. You can explain why a milion times I just won’t drink “coffee” made in the lab. I would stop drinking coffee before I switch to this. At the end this will become a poor people “coffee” and only people with a bit more money can afford the real deal. It’s just like many other food products.
Says she could be fooled.
But can detect the only fake one between 5 others coffees.

perhaps we should try to prevent climate change then produce things to live with it. It would be sad to one day never truly taste a real cup of joe.
Are trying to say that Atomo coffee is made from a source that is less scarce than coffee beans?
don’t solve climate change, make a coffee substitute instead 🙂
How can you call it coffee when it is clearly not. It is some kind of drink, but, if it is not made with coffee beans, it is NOT coffee! What the heck is it? I think the consumer deserves to know what’s in it.
But … why? Not like coffee production hurts the planet or it’s harmful for us … This solves a non-existing problem…
Benefits of real coffee priceless
the video also needs to expand more on the creation process. what are the ingredients? and, are all the ingredients safe for consumption?
Welcome to the era of synthetic food!
Some things you just don’t mess with. Coffee beans is one of them.
So, replacing coffee, which is made with plant matter, with.…plant matter? What a world we live in.
Cnet, why is your news feed becoming partasoned? Your better than that.
No thanks…
IN THE FOOD TRADE THEY CALL THIS ARTIFICIAL FLAVORING.
AHAHAHA LOL
I thought it was.called instant coffee.
What happened with the traditional coffee… isn’t it plant base.
I’m a coffee snob. I like to experiment with different coffees from around the world. Different beans different areas of the world some can be a lot of money per oz. but I don’t think I’d switch to this molecular coffee. I’d try it. But in the end it’s lab made and what is the long term effect of what’s in it. Coffee beans never killed no one
I just hope it won’t replace coffee beens the same way inorganic food replaced a normal one.
Great idea to make the corporations even more rich and broke the small coffee produced around the world even more
soon i will be enjoying
Lab created liquid that looks like coffee in the morning.. followed by lab created leaf with men made thc glued on and chocolate bar made with fake chocolate.. and i will be eating lab created beef steak with lab created beer.… and i will be cooking them with 3d food printer..
What we really need is a natural substitute to chocolate or cocoa!!!
How come aussies became coffee yuppies?
We tried Molecular coffee and give it a thumbs up. If you have any questions please ask away.

I’m actually looking forward to this. Too bad it’s only in cold brew form though.
Conclusion: It’s not coffee
Or just use regular coffee…
Utter chemicalised nonsense
Got sick just looking at it
I’ll reserve judgement until they advise us what all the ingredients are and until I see what the taste is like.
So it’s fake coffee
Some folks in Colombia must be getting worried
Mockolat
This is cool bc im mormon…
I live in Germany and I love coffee. The ecological footprint created by consumption of this product is very high. I’m looking forward to substitutes of imported, environmentally questionable that can be produced regionally.

What about espresso-based drinks? Cortado, Macchiato?
I bet certain people like the astronauts on the ISS would welcome the idea. Good coffee is sure hard to make in zero gravity.
And two years later it’s still not for sale.
More virtue signalling trying to suck the pleasure and joy out of people in the guise of saving the planet. When someone comes up with a plan to collect and recycle all the billions of cosmetic containers, plastics, tubes, compacts, etc., I’ll be very impressed and applaud that effort.
