The Vulcan 2 3D printer can print a house in just 24 hours of print time. This technology is currently being put to the test in rural Mexico, where it’s being used to build the world’s first 3D-printed community, designed for residents living on less than $3 a day.

Have you seen any emerging technology you’d like to see featured on What The Future? Let us know down below! And have a great holiday <3
What’s taking so long with the 3D printed world??…and the universe is way overdue!
Where is irion ?
That is not earhquake resitentc
Cool
I hope 3d printing houses comes crashing down (fails) because millions of people would loose their job since you from one day to the other only need two or three ppl to build a house in relation to the 10 or 30 you need nowadays
Why are people okay with a fake house??
Oooooh
Great idea for massive housing shortages globally. Industrial sized printers [cost] and training locals [Technology Transfer] are important factors.
2:52 “The big goal is downloading and printing a home […] for half the cost” — Half the cost of what? “Traditional Homes”? What is the benchmark exactly?
I 3D printing hose where I contacte
We have no jobs and biden has open boarders
Can you do an oldschool victorian style 3 story home that way?
Well that sucks hopefully they can find a solution to those 3 inconvenience
I really like this technology that you can print a houses is pretty awesome
Why can’t they make the SPROUT
Square, instead of a circle ⭕?
Yeah way to go taking jobs away from the construction industry just ruin the world some more by increasing the jobless
The Commodore on this one is this is great, people who live on the street will finally have a a home. This is the greatest technology do you help people I’ve seen. The biggest with something this great is the government well somehow make it cost so much the home is still never get a home
G,day from Sydney Australia.
Fantastic innovation: hands down. I’m interested in the operation of the icon 3D printer for concrete placement.
1. Transport requirements
2. Set skill set of human resources
3. Durability/weather conditions.
4. Reliability in operation and breakdown/stoppages.
5. Cost, service and maintenance.
Thankyou for your time.

Cities own a lot of land that could be sold to non profits who could utilize this technology to provide truly affordable housing options including the homeless population
this is incredible and it was almost 2 years ago..
The problem about market it it’s the “sausage texture look”. And if it will start helping homeless, who realy need help, 3D printed and the sausage texture can be market with the idea of textured for homeless, and rich will noit buy larger homes with such textured sausage wall.
The Rich are rich not because they look rich, but rather becAuse they possess the skills and strategies of the rich. The rich invest their money first into asset first before purchasing liabilities.the rich build multiple incOme streams to diversify thier income
I watched these in Apple TV +
You wouldn’t download a house
GREAT CONCEPT ! ! ! Let’s Get These EVERYWHERE. Senior’s would Enjoy These. 👍
I am so excited about this 3D printing house option. The government needs to do more to make it available quicker and very soon.
Imagine something goes wrong like the machine bugs out and makes a mess
wow! our technology is increasing
It’s amazing technologies
This technology is definitely out of this world, literally…
We re learning about that in reading class🤟🏼
We could use that when we travel to another planet or a new continent that hasn’t yet been discovered
what it means for the global housing crisis, they will not be able to keep up with all the demand of houses we will need, it sounds good but I highly doubt it will make a dent within that problem.
What you need is a robot sitting on like a excavator that can drive around the building area. That can be programmed or operated by hand. And the mix mad up from recycling waste plastic wood and metal. The buildings would be super energy efficient too requiring very little heating and cooling. This is without a doubt the future
We are building 5,600 units on my 700 acres, for a one floor 1500 sq ft, I need, 700 acres x 8 density per acre, 5,600 units. Can we build them One House at a time. That is 365 a year with one machine can’t we get 10 machines to do 3,650 a year or 100 machines do 36,500 a year. We need bulk numbers my land is shovel ready. Give me real numbers per unit 3 bedroom 2 baths kitchen living room laundry room, entrance to cover electric recharger for electric car, parking space. All vehicles in the 700 acres are electric.
Is there anything like that for making a spaceships in reality?
When I see I’ll believe it
