I do not claim to be a Star Wars guru, but after watching the movie, which I enjoyed, I had the following thoughts after watching your video.
If Emperor Palatine was hosting the collective force of the past Sith, making him all powerful, then in order to maintain a form of balance “Narratively” within the Force Universe, Rey being the last Jedi would respectively gain a similar power increase, the spirits of powerful Jedi were all watching over her or were hosted within her as well, so it’s possible she was being help throughout the whole journey for the purpose of become the equal to Palatine or at least have a chance at defeating him.
As for the Healing power comment: Anakin could not save is wife because she was meant to have died from something like a “lack of will to live” or broken heart due to him turning to the dark side. Plus like you say force Healing has been a thing through out the Star Wars gaming franchise so they just added it to the movie because people were always wondering why Jedi’s never use the powers you see in their SW games.
The “Force interact” was suppose to represent a Force-Bond between Kylo and Rey, which links the force energies of two beings, meaning the area of space around one person is connect to the other, hence what she see, feel and touches is shared including the object around her and him. Its just a convenient Force ability they share to make Star Wars and Jedi more mystical i guess.
But you did bring up a lot of other issue that to be honest they didn’t really bother me while watching the movie, I just took it with a pinch of salt and thought ” Well I guess we didn’t need to know more about them yet”. But I did watch a video where they mentioned that the new characters they touched on in this movie would be seen again in the later movies so maybe we will learn more about them then.
You can see Disney wish to develop the Star Wars Story/Universe their way but first certain elements from the old story needed to be plucked away to make room for this.
Overall I gave the movie a 7/10 I enjoyed it and look forward to seeing how they will start the new saga. Thank you for reading.
You’re stupid reviewer not the force.
Sith don’t make more sith because of the rule of two.
Biggest issues for me: Taking down the First Order, the Final Order and all the Sith in about 15 minutes. The constant bringing back of old characters in ghost form or in Lando form. Rey and Kylo Ren making 10 face-time calls that consume about 50% of the movie. And the long drawn out talk between Rey and Palpatine where she just kind of stands there.
I don’t want to be disappointed in a theater / 10e.
To enjoy this movie…u really and i mean REALLY have to turn your brain off.
I love your laughing through your review…so right on…movie was laughable, a hot mess. 🤣
I dont care about you guys th is movie was great
Ok stop about the force heal remember when Kylo died by healing Rey yeah Force heal has consequences
George Lucas please remake the 3 sequels right and throw away Disney’s TFA, TLJ, and ROS
In legends, force transfer does exist, however vitiate and palpatine were the only two people i can name off the top of my head that could use it. This means that jj literally just adapted centuries of legends timelines into a canon movie. Nice job, jj
The thing is Disney cut half the stuff and JJ Abrams wanted two films but Disney wanted to ruin this film because JJ was gonna do the DC films. It would have been better but Disney ruined took over and ruined everything.
It was awful. First Star Wars film I have EVER fell asleep before the ending while in the Theater, my gf had to wake me up! and I’ve seen many of the movies. It just didnt hold any weight, no Gravity, it was a Lifeless High budget Mess.
I find if amazing how star war fans trying to make sense of the lore. I watch star wars for some stupid space battles and cgi images and even if the story never make sense its dumb fun. Just like the fast and furious franchise. Those FF fans atleast enjoy the movies and not get all butthurt when the story doesnt make sense. Star war fans are the worst. I always think star wars have a stupid plot line even with the original trilogy.
It will take about a decade, but “The Last Jedi” is going
to prevail as the best of the final trilogy.
(don’t shoot ! Don’t shoot ! )
The rise of Skywalker got everything wrong.
The Jedi text didnt say you can absorb the lightning and send it back, but Yoda did it to Dooku, so.…the fact is the Jedi order are a bunch of idiots, there is so much more you can do with the Force but they are too stuck up to their own believe
the kissing scene is stupid, they should have Kylo and Palpatine stabbed each other then have Rey force push them both into a pit. Then only Rey join the dark side and rule the world as Rey Skywalker
Force Skype is nothing compared to when Vader just Skype Murder the admiral
This movie’s one success was it made TLJ look like an absolute masterpiece
The problem with Rey: She fundamentally can’t be the main character but she would make a great side character. She had terrible arc potential. Finn should’ve been the main character.
