Inside Intel’s NUC 9 Extreme, a.k.a “Ghost Canyon” — a remarkably small 5‑liter desktop gaming PC that nonetheless allows you to upgrade all of its internals easily. Arguably, easier than existing desktop computers, because Intel’s NUC Element board puts your CPU, memory modules, SSDs and more into a single modular cartridge. It’s coming this March for north of $1,300, and Intel’s partners will be riffing on the idea.

I like the form factor, but when it comes to price to performance, it doesn’t make sense.
So a RTX2080Ti is not possible to attach? ;-D
This dude doesn’t know what a Mini-ITX is 🤣🤣🤣
So you’re telling me if you want to replace anything other than the gpu, you have to buy an entirely new computer? (Assuming this as normal people who would know how to upgrade that cpu module would have a normal computer anyway)
No thanks I’ll be fine with my NZXT and Ryzen
its a desktop. no need to be the smallest. normal size is justified. it comes with peace of mind of having enough heat dissipation and circulation.
Hardware-wise I only have two real issues with the new Intel NUC 9 Extreme.:
1 — The front panel ports should be designed to be compatible with VR headsets.
2 — The CPU and GPU boards should be facing away from each other, so that each can draw direct air from the outside.
Why not throw this tiny extreme nuc and buy a new one. This is exactly that i would do to my NUC gen 5 from day one, since it sucked with 4k@60p.
interessante
Drool…
Am I high or is his arm tiny
I want it. Can not wait.
We bringing back pentium slot 1
Tiny gaming glory
were tf the gpu
That’s a gr8 looking system but we need to look at the bigger picture. This was a cheap cop out from Intel to make up for lost market share from AMD and to make every one loose focus of the CPU market, in fact this guy mentions a 9980 in the demo. Last time I checked, The 9900 was TOP Dog!
Ps5 looks cheap compared to this pricetag
AMD needs to get in on this new form factor. Intel really doesn’t have the chips anymore, AMD does. If AMD can reinvent the desktop form factor, they can be a leader for the next few years…
It seems such an obvious deal to separate backplane from the CPU and have stuff plug into it rather than a common CPU backplane assembly as we have now. Surprised it has not been implemented before for personal computers
Intel over there building overpriced Lego sets that nobody asked for, meanwhile AMD is swinging around alien future technology and turning Intel into a laughing stock.
cant talk about = doesn’t actually know
He could fit four of those in his huge trouser pockets 😮
“easy to upgrade” can’t it come with thumb screws?
I customised my deskmini with thumb screws.
It’s BIG
All you need is a Portable Display and now you can Replace the laptop
Dude! Learn to say “gaming” correctly first 😂
Intel can‘t do their core business properly anymore (CPU), so they now decided to rip off their customers by locking them into an ecosystem. Way to go… time for a new company to replace intels spot, they pretty much became obsolete
Intel’s turning back their CPU’s on discrete board.
I know it’s expensive but, better grab this one compare imac pro isn’t ? well it’s my personal opinion.
Wow wow… Wait wait wait, from $1.3K and no storage, no graphics card?
Intel: $1300 for barebones system
Me: Aight Imma head out
I’m so excited for these new gamming computers!
Does it support league of legends FPS lock in at 160
THAT’ S A SHAMELESS DAN A4 SFX RIPOFF !!!
lol tweesers lol
Where is my brick ? lol
Just by the orientation of the processor board you can tell Intel barely put any effort in.
This guy learned the word module right before this video
Atleast y’all don’t have to assemble it yourself
Joke channel
If you don’t have a table, it does not work xd
asking almost $2k for a motherboard, processor, and case with the promise of easy upgrades seems like a tone-deaf way of forcing consumer loyalty to Intel during a time when AMD is gobbling up the CPU market
Wow i normally unscrew the machine with a swiss knife like you learned us.
THE LOGIC BEHIND THE BREAKDOWN OF THIS IS ON POINT, ANYONE WOULD WANT TO WAIT TO SEE WHAT INTEL COMES WITH AS WE ALL KNOW WHAT THEIR REP IS LIKE.
MODULAR IS THE WAY TO GO, FULL TIME THEY STOP WASTING PARTS.
AMD WILL HIT THIS OUT OF THE PARK IN A JIFFY AND AT LOWER COST.
are ye wearing your antistatic band mate?
How am I gonna upgrade this with a 3090?
